The students of SAI International Residential School celebrated Daan Utsav or the Joy of Giving week in October 2018 by visiting the neighboring village of Bhalunka Munda Sahi. They presented a skit on health, hygiene, and open defecation to inspire cleanliness. The students also helped clean the village's living spaces to motivate the villagers to make Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a clean India a reality.

The annual Bandhavya carnival for special children, organized by Rotary Mysore Midtown, was held from January 2-4, 2015. The 3-day event hosted over 1,400 special children and their caretakers from across Karnataka and included athletic competitions, cultural performances, and fun activities. It had a budget of over 4 lakhs Rs and support from corporate sponsors like Infosys. Day 1 activities included welcoming participants, an opening procession, and distributing snacks to children. Competition results were announced. A dental camp screened 400 children. Inner Wheel Mysore Midtown contributed Rs. 15,000 and helped over the 3 days. Rtn. Vishwanath will retire as chair next

The Akshaya Patra Foundation in Hyderabad organized a fund raising campaign titled 'A student for a student' during Joy of Giving Week. This Campaign is organized to raise the funds for mid day meal benificiary. Support and donate to this NGO to feed hungry child.Community engagement
The student joined a social group called the "Foodies" where members shared cooking recipes and meals. They decided to merge community engagement with the group by fundraising. Members contributed money to buy donuts to give to donors, raising R800.
The student visited the Emlanjeni Community Centre which provides assistance to children without adequate care. It offers food, literacy skills, and medical services. Some children are orphans cared for by elderly grandparents dependent on pensions.
Playing with the children at the centre was a positive experience, as it allowed students who had not seen siblings in a while to spend time with the children. The children were happy to have undivided attention and fun through activities like soccer.

Seva Mandir is one of India's leading development nonprofit organizations.
It currently works with 360,000 people across 700 villages of southern Rajasthan, where over 90% of the population relies on subsistence agriculture and most people live on less than Rs. 20 a day.
While the second wave of COVID-19 that hit our country left a trail of fatalities, in addition to economic and social crises, health experts warn of a third wave.
Our experience during the second wave shows that a set of measures would help face the third wave. Strengthening of local administration, civil society organizations lending them support and their synergic work with community collectives is a potential way of overcoming the situation, when it arises.
HUM SAJAG initiative aims to build a pool of trained and equipped human resource base of 6000 frontline workers and village volunteers in 1500 villages spread across 14 blocks of Udaipur and Rajsamand district in 100 days.
Establishing collective COVID management norms in villages through active village groups, youth, community and women leaders will be a core focus of this initiative.
