1. Nifty Options - OI Distribution
The Nifty was down by 71.45 points or 0.83% to
settle at 8,561.30.
As per the OI data, the maximum OI outstanding
for Calls was at 9000 SP and that for Puts was at
8400 SP. Besides, for intraday purpose, one
could Buy on dips upto 8550 with SL of 8500 for
Target of 8650-8700.
Nifty February 2017 futures closed at 8584.30 on
Tuesday at a premium of 23 points over spot
closing of 8561.30.
Among Nifty calls, 8800 SP from the February
month expiry was the most active call with an
addition of 4 Lakh open interests. Among Nifty
puts, 8400 SP from the February month expiry
was the most active put with an addition of 9.7
Lakh open interests.
Nifty February futures saw a contraction of 4.9
Lakh units, taking the total outstanding open
interest to 1.94 Cr. units.
Among most active underlying, Idea Cellular
witnessed a contraction of 75.1 Lakh units of
Open Interest in the February month futures
contract, followed by Infosys witnessing an
addition of 5.7 Lakh units of Open Interest in the
February month contract, ICICI Bank witnessed
an addition of 18.3 Lakh units of Open Interest in
the February month contract.
The top gainers on Nifty were Idea Cellular up by
12.33%, IndusInd Bank up by 0.97%, Power Grid
up by 0.73%, ITC up by 0.68% and Bharti Airtel
up by 0.56%.On the flip side, Bharti Infratel
down by 10.86%, Grasim Industries down by
6.00%, TCS down by 4.33%, Tech Mahindra
down by 3.95% and BPCL down by 3.64% were
the top losers.

2. Derivative Strategy Pay- Off Chart
The India Volatility Index increased by 0.92% and
reached 16.82.
The Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) finally stood at 0.96
for February month contract.
The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were
Torrent Pharmaceuticals (4.00), IDEA (1.31), KPIT
Technologies (1.29), Wipro (1.09) and Bharti Airtel
(1.07).
