1. Never give out personal details about yourself such as:
• full name, date of birth or age
• where you live
• where you go to school
• contact details including email addresses
• user names and passwords.
What Junior school students need to know:

2. Never give out any private
information over the internet
or through mobile phones
about your family, friends or
other people that you know.

3. Use a strong password that
contains a combination of upper
and lower case letters, symbols
and numbers.

4. Think before you send! You have
to think about what you are saying
and how this will make the other
person feel.

5. Don’t hide behind a
computer screen, if you
wouldn’t say it to their
face, don’t say
it at all!

any photos: “would I be okay
with my Grandma seeing this?”
If the answer is no, forget it!
