Cyberbullying involves tormenting, threatening, harassing, or embarrassing someone using the internet or technology. It is less frequent than traditional bullying but occurs more outside of school, making victims feel they have no safe space. One major concern is its link to suicidal ideation. While only 10% of victims report the abuse, 90% of teens who witness online bullying ignore it. It is important for parents and educators to teach youth how to identify and deal with cyberbullying, and make them aware of available resources. To prevent further issues, everyone must work together to make the online world a safe space for all.
