However, our online and real lives are also interconnected. The digital world gives us opportunities to connect with others but may weaken our social skills. It has become difficult to balance time spent in the digital world versus the real world.

While ignoring it or hoping it stops is not effective, standing up, speaking out, and using technology to combat online bullying may help address the problem.
