You suffer from anxiety :You may use the Internet to distract yourself from
your worries and fears.
You are depressed: The Internet can be an escape from feelings of depression,
but too much time online can make things worse.
You have any other addictions: May suffer from other addictions, such
as drugs, alcohol and gambling.
Use it as social support: Internet addicts often use social networking sites,
instant messaging, or online gaming as a safe way of establishing new relationships and
more confidently relating to others.
You are less mobile or socially active than you once were:
For example, you may be parenting very young children, which can make it hard to
leave the house or connect with old friends.
You are stressed: While some people use the Internet to relieve stress, it can
have the opposite effect. The longer you spend online, the higher your stress levels will
be.

• KIDS GLOVE
The programme, envisaged to educate
teachers, parents and children about cyber security, is
designed by the Cyberdome, the technological
research and development centre of the state police at
Thiruvananthapuram.The programme will also see its
launch in other districts soon.

Cocon was aimed at providing a platform to
discuss, showcase, educate, understand and spread
awareness on the latest trends in information, cyber and
hi-tech crimes,Kerala Police will partner with POLCYB
(the Society for the Policing of Cyberspace) and ISRA
(Information Security Research Association), a
registered non-profit organisation. POLCYB, based in
British Columbia, Canada, aims to enhance international
partnerships among public and private professionals to
prevent as well as combat crimes in cyberspace.
22. • NERVAZHI
At a time when parents are complaining of
their gadget-addict children and concerns regarding
cyber security are on the rise, the Kozhikode district
panchayat and the District Institute of Education and
Training (DIET) authorities are planning to launch a
new project to spread awareness on cyberbullying
and educate students about cyber issues. The project,
named 'Nervazhi' will be implemented as part of the
Educare scheme of the district panchayat which aims
for the academic and co-curricular development of
students.

members of our family and our society. By Protecting
them from addiction, we can make the bright future of
them and a better Nation for our country.
