giving program directed at individuals, congregations and organizations, utilizing direct mail,
internet giving, workplace giving and commemorative gifts. I identified and cultivated
annual donors and moved them into major gifts donors. Notable accomplishments include:

Founded in 1970, BFHP is the largest homeless services provider in the East Bay,
providing more than 150,000 meals and securing permanent housing for more than 300 families
annually. Most of its 2,000 clients suffer from mental health and/or physical disabilities. It
accomplished this on a $3.3M budget by leveraging community support. As its Director of
Development and one of five senior staff, I was responsible for all private fundraising, in-
kind goods and services, volunteerism, media and public relations (corporate,
government, community) and events. Major gifts portfolio was 300. Accomplishments:
• Increased annual revenues by 38% over targeted budget over 3 consecutive years from
Individuals, Corporations and Foundations
• Identified, cultivated and secured gifts from Major and Planned Giving Donors
o Established Circle of Caring from 300 top-tier donors
