strategic planning support to the BWDB for environment, participatory water resource management
and climate change projects initiated by international donor partners in collaboration with the BWDB.
In this position I was responsible for the critical review and feedback on activities and reports
prepared by consultants and other development partners; assisted bilateral aid missions in
identification, appraisal and preparation of projects; prepared draft concept papers, project proposals
and Initial Environmental Examination documents; supported Environment and Social Impact
Assessments; and maintained liaison with partner government agencies, donors, consultants and
NGOs. I was also responsible for preparing tender documentation, disaster management training to
water management organizations, staff and other stakeholders; and the work planning and supervision
of staff.
2000-2004.Project Coordinator (PC), Swiss Intercooperation, Bangladesh. My primary
responsibilities included reporting, liaison, networking and communication with donor agencies as
well as related government and non-governmental organizations; planning, implementation and
monitoring of project activities; provision of technical support for strengthening farmers'
organizations; training community members in conservation and sustainable natural resource
management; conducting action research on agro-forestry and taking inventory of local problems
about timber and fruits trees; partnership development with NGOs and government agencies; and led
environmental education and promoted eco-tourism. I was also responsible for maintaining project
accounts, supporting human and institutional development and ensured an organizational focus on
