Profile
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic IT professional with over 15 years experience providing
applications support in highly pressurised and challenging work environments. These applications
are business-critical and require fast response times and demanding SLAs. I have experience in a
number of diverse roles, and previous background in retail banking and sales. I possess excellent
verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships both
internally and externally.

Application Support Engineer
• 2nd and 3rd line support of applications on Windows platforms (XP and 8.1) with excellent
troubleshooting skills. Lead engineer on several key MPS applications
• Supporting applications on the following platforms/technologies: Windows Server 2008,
2012. MSSQL, SQL Server, IIS, HTML, Oracle, Business Objects, Citrix, DNS and
Active Directory. Support of VBScript, batch and PowerShell scripts
• Managing new releases and patches for existing and new applications. Involved in testing
and deployment in conjunction with developers, change management and other
stakeholders, including third parties such as CapGemini, BT, Pitney Bowes, Northgate,
Civica and Experian
• Attending service review meetings with Problem Management, Service Management and
senior MPS managers when required
• Work within ITIL framework (for example, Change Management, Incident Management
and so on) to deliver service using the Remedy system
• Other duties include production of documentation (e.g support, application and installation
guides) to a high standard, and training junior staff
