● Prepared various break ups of the items in DIB’s financial statements used by the audit team in performing stand-
ard audit procedures and other analytical tests.
● Recalculated gains or losses on disposals of investments in equity securities made during the year by the bank.
● Testing controls over initiation and processing of loans provided by DIB to individuals based on credit risk testing
and track record with previous loans provided. Consequently, inspecting and verifying mortgage documents of
credit customers and valuation reports of collateral.
● Performed accuracy, comparability and completeness tests on DIB’s and VedaSima’s financial statements issued
at the year end.
● Verified expenses relating to employee’s salary, travel expenses and other expenses were reported in the Finan-
cial statements in the relevant time period based on accrual accounting and thereafter carried accurately onto the
Income Statement of VedaSima
● Inspected the cash count being performed at the DIB’s main branch as at 31 December close and prepared bank
reconciliations for adjusting entries to reconcile the totals with the breakup.
INTERN, Qatar Insurance Company Dubai, UAE (June 2014 – Aug 2014)
● Main role in Marine Underwriting Department was to issue all necessary documents to issue Marine Insurance for
clients and follow up on existing clients regarding renewal or cancellation of existing Insurance policies and issu-
ing necessary documentation for them.
● In the Claims department, cases provided were all mostly related to Workmen’s Compensation claims. Thus, had
to go through the terms and conditions of each contract based on which necessary calculations needed to be per-
formed and precise amount needed to be calculated and approved and then provided to the accounts department
for furthering processing of the claim.
