Position: Project Manager CUI Project and Contract Holder
Project Brief : CUI Project is put in place to ensure the plant will still be in operation for
another 20 years reliably and meet SMDS long-term production strategy. Project phase cover

the inspection and mitigation work to the related piping and equipment as outline in the
inspection strategy.
Duties and Responsibility;
• Successfully work with civil team to develop the project cost estimation including
the schedule requirement. As a Contract Holder closely work with procurement and
contracting department to develop the contracting strategy with the total contract
value at RM12.4 million. Define the qualification level for the civil including TSA
work with effective bid evaluation and selection. Align with project control team to
ensure budget is sufficient and if an increase to ACV is needed. Manage the PO and
changes, analysis if additional scope/cost occurs.
• Successfully started the online Thermal Sprayed Application (TSA) as part of the
mitigation for CUI Project. Managed stakeholder’s expectation, influent and
affected by the critical progress of the project. Map stakeholder interests against
decision ability and develop action to fit the map. Share an honest point of view and
stayed open minded to other perspectives. Continuously engaged the stakeholder
to ensure project was executed smoothly.
• Clocked 165,100 MH at current project progress of 50% with zero LTI recorded.
Continuously engaging contractor management and site team by conducting
regular HSE Engagement, Stand Down, walk down and rewarded for appreciation.
Guided and trained with zero compromise on safety, ethics and compliance. Lead
by example.
• Reviewed all invoices and claims to confirm that expenses are still within budgetary
guidelines. No Variation Order expected by end of project.
• Achieved and maintained excellent relationship between team members by
effectively managing project team’s responsibility, accountability and
expectations. All of which were laid out at the very beginning. This is important so
the team members are able to deliver what was outline to them at the end of the
project. Support and continuously coach manpower by having regular

Responsible for work pack approval prior commencement of work including JMS
and JHA. Lead the team on day to day activity including PTW, safety tool box and
walkdown.
Position and Responsibility: Project Manager and Contract Holder for Jetty
Rejuvenation.
Brief : The main objective of the jetty rejuvenation project is to maintain the jetty’s asset
which was to align with the company’s long term business strategy. The scopes were to replace
as in “like for like” replacement for the fixed fender, splash zone beams, retrieve ladder and oil
pit including the underwater inspection which looked for any abnormalities such as cracking,
the extent of the marine growth, corrosion, dented piles, location of the anode (CP) & etc.
Duties and Responsibility
• Primary responsibility was to ensure proper planning from the beginning of the
contract stage valued at RM6.5 mill until the execution of work including contract &
procurement, cost control and schedule management. Adhered to HSSE standards,

and delivered projects within budget, schedule and quality requirements.
Responsible for HSSE leadership to drive Goal Zero policy.
• Successfully developed the scope of work based on the Civil Fixed Asset Internal
Review (FAIR) in order to develop contract document for Contract and Procurement
purposes.
• Continuously engaged the stakeholders to ensure all steps were executed smoothly
specifically on the business strategy for shipment schedule which have the direct
impact to the construction schedule activity.
Additional knowledge;
Prior to the above project, attended a basic course on the Marine Facilities Engineering at
Rijswijk, Netherland. The course covers the port layout, navigation, dredging, jetties, mooring
and transfer system. Familiar with the marine facilities component and gain a very useful
knowledge to comply during the project stage.
Position : Lead and Contract Holder, OOS tank inspection & Blasting/painting work in
PTA.
Project Brief : Out of service inspection for tanks and painting work is required in order to
maintain the asset integrity and to prolong the service life of the related equipments. Work
need to be executed during the shutdown as most of the equipment cannot be released online.
Duties and Responsibility
• Primary responsibility was to plan for proper planning from the beginning of the
contract stage all the way to the execution of work including contract &
procurement, cost control and schedule management. Adhered to Shell HSSE
standards, and delivered projects within budget, schedule and quality requirements.
Responsible for HSSE leadership to drive Goal Zero policy.
• Successfully delivered total of RM1.7 million project within the target date including
the additional discovery work which was completed within the stipulated time.
• Project completion with zero LTI recorded. Continuously engage with contractor
management, Stand Down if necessary, walk down and appreciate by reward. Guide
and trained with uncompromising on safety, Ethics and compliance. Lead by
example
Position and Responsibility: Lead for Civil Maintenance CAPEX item
• The primary responsibility was to raise documentation for budgeting purposes for civil
capex and non routine maintenance and to develop work schedule related to the CAPEX
item i.e Jetty rejuvenation, Structures & tank roof replacement, painting/blasting work
and etc.
• Successfully completed the T-8231 structure replacement, painting/blasting for
Chemical shelters, Reactor R-1041/1051/1061 and security house including the T-7061
roof replacement with zero LTI recorded with full involvement in project phase and
responsibled for work pack approval prior commencement of work including JMS and
JHA. Lead the team on day to day activity including PTW and safety tool box.
Other Position and Responsibility: Goal Zero (GZ) Ambassador Lead
• Successfully became the role model for Safety leadership behaviors and act as the

change agents by continuously and actively engaging with the GZ members.
• Successfully develop the schedule and identify the tool-box session for the
ambassador together with GZ owner and follow-up by email to ensure the
ambassadors followed the given schedule.
• Working together with HSSE Focal Person to ensure all the GZ findings are
documented and to follow-up to “closed” on the related finding item. Having a good
team of ambassador to further review and analyze the GZ findings and action need to
be taken.

EPCC Flare Gas Recovery Unit (FGRU) at Gas Processing Plant Complex A & B, Kerteh,
Terengganu.
Owner – Petronas Gas Berhad
Position & Responsibility : Senior Civil & Structure Engineer
Project Brief : The flare gas recovery unit (FGRU) was designed to capture routine blanketing
gases that goes directly to the flare system. The recovered flare gas to be sent back to gas
processing plant as fuel gas or sales gas. The FGRU reduces the continuous flare operation,
which subsequently reduces the associated smoke, thermal radiation, noise and pollutant
emissions associated with flaring.
• The primary responsibility as Civil lead, leading civil design started from front end
development (Assess, Select & Define phases) to detail design and construction
(Execute phase) including procurement, bill of quantities and schedule management.
Adhered to Petronas HSSE standards, and deliver projects within budget, schedule and
quality requirements. Responsible for HSSE leadership to drive Goal Zero policy.
• Successfully delivered design stage (FEED, Detail Design) meeting project schedule.
100% completion without carry over work to construction by coordination work with
the design firms, ensure deliverables meet the schedule and compliance with the
requirements (Owner, Local Authority and Design Standard);
• Full involvement in the construction phase to solve major/minor issues by raising the
“Field Revision Instruction / Engineering Revision Instruction” related to the design
including updating drawings as per site condition.
• Final acceptance and approval of civil deliverables from the design firm e.g.
specification, plot plan, soil report, structural drawings and etc.
