The Herman Miller company needed a new compensation administration solution to modernize their bi-annual merit and pay processes for over 4,000 US and Canada employees. Their previous internally-developed system using Lotus Notes required extensive manual preparation work before each cycle. The new solution aims to reduce this complexity, provide greater self-service capabilities for managers, and decrease reliance on IT resources. Herman Miller implemented Oracle's Workforce Compensation module, configuring compensation plans and a two-level approval workflow for manager pay recommendations. They partnered with Emtec, an Oracle implementation expert, to help ensure a successful transition to the new cloud-based system.
