• Manage the use of operational information gathered from IT and NT operations to estimate higher level satisfaction / impacts from what the overall technology organization delivers and achieves
• Assure this information applied in systematic improvement activities beyond / above routine operational performance activities – drive additional activities for Quality in design, build and operate process stages
• Oversee conducting the in-depth quality & performance analysis and generate reports to drive improvement actions in the NT and IT organizations as required

6. Major Challenges/Achievements during my career:
1) Established Project Management Office(PMO)
Established PMO team within SIDF IT Department in order to ensure appropriate governance
for IT projects. This PMO function was tasked with automating the management of projects
using internationally accepted methods. To achieve this, the PMI methodology was adopted
and the Microsoft EPM tool was configured to automate and standardize the project
governance. In addition, pre-determined gateways were established where project deliverables
are monitored for quality purpose.
2) ISO Certifications
We were able to get the following accreditations for SIDF IT Department and am proud that
these projects were/are under my direct responsibility:

4) As Project Manager Y2K implementation
Was the Project Manager for the Y2K project, which was successfully implemented with zero faults.
The team had to investigate, modify and test many applications developed under traditional languages
(COBOL, Fortran etc.). The team consisted of more than 50 persons from various disciplines.
5) As Project Manager, Conversion of Software Applications from Cobol/Ingres to
Sybase PowerBuilder and Database conversion from Ingres to MS SQLServer.
Was the project manager for this complex and tedious task of converting the legacy systems. We had
to convert more than 50 applications, data migration to the new Database and train the users to use
the new applications. Everything went smoothly without even a single day down time.
6) Upgrade of Information Technology from a Division to a Department. Information
Technology was a Division which got upgraded to a fully functional Department having 4 Divisions
currently. Also ITD PMO was set up during my leadership as IT Manager.
