all aspects of health and safety.
I have completely rewritten the course material and produced a coherent working table for all
levels of students. Teaching styles included demonstration, facilitation and delegation.
In addition to these responsibilities, I have also taken on the additional duties as health and
safety officer for the education department and have become the ‘Go To’ member of the
education department for all aspects of Contamination Control; implementing new strategies
for both the prison and education departments.
I have also implemented a new indexing system for students’ individual learning plans that
allowed for greater access for managers resulting in greater clarity and flow of needed
information.

The core responsibilities of this role were teaching and assessing juvenile convicted and
remanded prisoners at HMP Prison Brinsford. Students were assessed to their own abilities
and placed in either beginner, intermediate or advanced classes. Basic ICT (OCR E3, CLAiT
2006 L1) and Advanced ICT (CLAiT Plus L2 and ECDL L2).
Working with juvenile prisoners was always challenging; however, it was also very rewarding.
