2. OBJECTIVES OF THE SESSION:
1. DISCUSS CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION
AND DELIVERY OF SLMs OF THE TEACHERS
THROUGH FGD.
2. COME UP IMPLEMENTATION AND
OF SLMs REPORT IN DIFFERENT LEARNING
AREAS.
3. PRESENT PERFORMANCE MONITORING
AND ASSESSMENT SAMPLE.
4. The global COVID-19 pandemic has had
huge disruptive effects on normal life,
difficult as it already was in many
countries. For schools, students and
parents, the impact of closed schools and
children stuck at home with little or no
access to learning, the effect has been
devastating.
5. Experts estimate that a whole year
of learning could be lost, meaning
a whole cohort of students could
be permanently lagging behind in
their learning.
6. The crisis and the response to it
has exposed weaknesses in
educational systems, while creating
opportunities to reshape school
education to a new paradigm that
is more resilient
7. This pandemic is not the first, nor will
it be the last, to impact countries and
schools. Such crises are becoming
increasingly likely with climate change,
technological disruptions and
globalized connectivity.
8. The solution lies in neither a top-
down approach from policymakers,
reactive changes to teacher
preparation and in-service training
9. The Department of Education is doing its best
to distinguish the effective modality to be
implemented in every school. These include
different learning delivery modalities that the
department will look into such as Online
Learning, Modular Distance Learning(SLMs),
Blended Learning, Radio-Based Instruction,
TV-Based Instruction.
10. But how ready are the parents,
learners or education sector in
this system of learning
delivery?
11. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING
AND PARTICIPATION!!
GOD BLESS AND KEEP SAFE
EVERYONE!!
Editor's Notes
The result of this school based assessment through our FGD later on will be reported to the CID office through the supervisors for the Department of Education will determine what are the things that have been neglected or missing on the implementation of Curriculum and the delivery of slms content to be able to help lessen the burdens of the teachers. And as the delivery will become easy and convenient for the teachers, it is ex[pected that there is a qulity education for the learners.
