This document summarizes the characters and plot of the Irish hero Cuchulain. Cuchulain was born to Princess Dectera and the god Lugh. He was raised by his foster father Sualtim. As a boy, Cuchulain displayed extraordinary strength and skills. He was prophesied to have great fame but a short life. Later, Cuchulain was tricked into eating dog meat by the Three Daughters of Calatin, which weakened him. His enemies were then able to kill him, but Cuchulain tied himself upright to die standing.
