CUBRID is an open source database management system that has been in development since 2007. It provides features for high performance, scalability, and availability needed to support web services. These include connection pooling, query caching, table partitioning, replication, and automatic failover. CUBRID also offers easy management tools and has a number of popular web applications that have been adapted to use it as their backend database.
