There are times which “catch” you, there are landscapes which „enchant” you and atmospheres which “embrace” you in a way which reveals long forgotten memories… such times are summer, the Mediterranean landscape and the atmosphere of the French Riviera. They all meet at this beginning of autumn in Cluj, in my simple “new paintings” or Mediterranean impressions.

What Happened?
A carpenter working at the Cathay Cargo project slipped from a 600mm high ledge and fell backwards
on to rebar. The rebar punctured the deceased in his lower back. He was assisted to a safe place by a
colleague, the site nurse administered first aid and an ambulance was called. He was taken to hospital
but on arrival his condition deteriorated and he died.
There are two types of addiction disorders: Substance use disorders and Behavioral addiction disorders. This presentation tries to explain the different types of behavioral addictions.

Simple SEO is SEO that's consistent and done by everyone. On sites that are managed by multiple people, it can become daunting for one person to go through and optimize each and every post. The goal of this presentation is to demostrate SEO made simple. It is a Do it Yourself SEO guide (DIYSEO) for companies that wish to emphasize a culture of SEO within their ranks.

In this set you will finf the same slides than from the Masterclass in San Sebastian last year, but I have added some since I have been working with Robert Pratten, Transmedia Storyteller Ltd., where we focus on some game mechanics and specific preparation for a project using a lot of platforms and social media to be implemented in the tool named Conducttr.
These slides are meant for the students of the Master Transmedia at Sciences PO Grenoble, May 23rd 2012.
This presentation was accompanying a keynote at COFES 2011 -- the Conference for the Future of Engineering -- Scottsdale, April 2011. A more compact version of the same presentation was given to a group of Israeli engineers & entrepreneurs in Tel Aviv, during COFES Israel, December 2010. I am well aware that the presentation material, without the accompanying speech, may be a bit cryptic at times. Also, comments and questions are welcome at @cdn
Presentation for ProductCamp Austin #17 on August 6, 2016. Do you believe that 360-degree cameras, photos and video, Pokemon Go, Google Cardboard, Google Glass, Microsoft HoloLens, Samsung Gear VR, and Oculus Rift have nothing to do with *YOUR* product? Think again! I’ll cover the landscape of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies and products, opportunities within categories, and opportunities to use these new technologies in marketing and sales channels and campaigns. We believe that machine intelligence and robots will eventually be capable of performing all human jobs.
Machine learning and robotic dexterity have in many cases already surpassed human abilities. The labor economics for productivity have blurred; it is increasingly difficult to differentiate between human and machine productivity.
Based on our blog “Imitating Machines”, we will speak frankly about the realities of AI and machine sapience, including overfit models, creativity, understanding, intent and freewill.
AI and robotics can compete with people for all jobs. Remember, AI doesn't feel pity, remorse, or fear. And AI will not stop improving. Ever. So what should society do?

What you can see coming can sometimes hurt you, but you have time to prepare for it. Most often it's what you *can't* see that will smack you solidly upside the head and upset your business or non-profit. There are lots of reasons for not seeing risk, including cognitive bias - we all ignore data that doesn't fit our world-view, it's part of our built-in human pattern recognition circuitry. I'll introduce a few simple scenario planning concepts and process steps as antidotes to cognitive bias, blind spots, and other impediments to exploring the future and proper risk mitigation.

Which Customers are You Building the Right Product For PCA9Paul Teich
This session is the opposite of Go-to-Market and Marketing Execution, which focus on "putting lipstick on the pig." We'll frame two ends of a product inception spectrum -- a) design a product that you'd want to buy and b) analyze a market to figure out what they're likely to buy -- and discuss the practical realities between the two.
Sizing, Segmenting, and Forecasting MarketsPaul Teich
Business is driven by accurately defining how many customers there will be for your product over time, how much they are willing to pay over time, and what will make them break their current habits to pay for your product. Then throw in a healthy dose of competition and the concept of “market windows.” Top-level requirements and persona prioritization are derived from these fundamental definitions.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2. What is Culture?
• Cultivated behavior: the totality of a person's
learned, accumulated experience which is socially
transmitted; behavior through social learning.
• A way of life of a group of people:
behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they
accept, generally without thinking about them, and that are
passed along by communication and imitation.
• Symbolic communication: some of its symbols include a
group's skills, knowledge, attitudes, values, and motives.
