2. 1. Crop Rotation : it is practice of growing a series of different
types of crops in the same area across a sequence of growing
seasons.
2. Multi cropping : Practice of producing 2 or more crops on the
same plot of land at same time, rather than simply one,
throughout the same growing season
3. Ratoon cropping : Practice of harvesting a monocot crop by
cutting most of the above ground portion but leaving the roots
so as to allow the plants to recover and produce a fresh crop in
next season
4. Mono cropping : practice of growing single crop year after year
on same land
5. Relay Cropping : A method of multiple cropping where one crop
is seeded into standing second crop well before harvesting of
second crop.
