Cooperation And The Requirement Of Stronger Enforcement
cooperation and the requirement of stronger enforcement or more systematic dispute settlement
mechanism. My second hypothesis is that international institutions or treaties of members of
significantly asymmetric national capability will have a stronger dispute settlement mechanism.
That is to say, In other words, an institution that contains asymmetry of power in terms of national
capacity, military capacity, economic capability, and legal resources should have stronger DSMs. In
this situation, powerful states might seek for stronger DSMs for gaining advantage within
institutions. The underlying logic of this idea, based on Allee and Elsig is that many DSMs allow
for both diplomatic and legal dispute settlement, so powerful states can benefit from having a menu
of dispute settlement options that allows them to forum shop even within treaties. (Allee 97) Also,
for weaker countries, stronger DSMs can give weaker countries the equal chance to argue with
more powerful countries under certain framework. Strong DSMs provide relatively weaker
countries such as Mexico has more capability to confront with more powerful countries and boost
their chance to win the confrontation. To prove this hypothesis, I will find asymmetric countries in
size and compare the agreements of these asymmetric countries to some symmetric countries. The
expected conclusion should be that agreement with more heterogeneous countries would have
stronger DSM. There are many existing cases can prove this

Advantages Of Maglev Train
Maglev train denotes the train is lifted above its tracts by electromagnetic force. With the maglev
technology developing rapidly, maglev train has been widely applied nowadays like Japan HTTS
series and German TR series. This essay will examine the key technologies of maglev train from
both the dominated systems and the main characteristics of high and low speed maglev trains
perspectives. There are three main systems: suspension system, guidance and brake system and
traction system. As the most crucial yet challenging one, suspension system is established to
achieve train s levitation. According to Long, He and Xue(2011), there are two types of
suspension system: EMS system and EDS system. The former one appears to be more widely used
recently. As for EMS system, as an abbreviation standing for electromagnetic suspension, it
achieves train s levitation by using the force of attraction between the permanent magnet mounted
on board and the railway track( Long, He and Xue, 2011). In addition, feedback control loops are
necessary and crucial in this system. According to Earnshaw s law, which states that a permanent
magnet can never stay static in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This can be explained by the magnetic principle that the same poles repel, different poles attract. As
with the process, based on the force decomposition principle, the inverted U shaped magnetically
rail and magnet produce the repulsive electromagnetic force with an inclined angle, which can be
decomposed into the guiding force along the lateral component and the suspension force along the
vertical component. In addition, Liu, Long and Li(2015) illustrated that current adjustment in
suspension magnet is adopted to keep suspension in a certain

Erich Fromm s Disobedience as a Psychological and Moral...
Erich Fromm s Disobedience as a Psychological and Moral Problem In Disobedience as a
Psychological and Moral Problem, Erich Fromm (1963) argues that society will self destruct
without achieving freedom through disobedience. Fromm begins with analogies of Hebrew and
Greek mythology showing how disobedience to a god freed humans. Using this correlation, Fromm
shows freedom as a condition for disobedience, and vice versa. Therefore, Fromm proclaims that
without disobedience the human race could destroy itself within a generation. Fromm s article, first
published in 1963, stems from fear of a third world war. Despite the outdated comment by Behrens
and Rosen in the introduction, the article still applies to suggestion human... Show more content on

Fromm relates this to the fetus in the womb and to cutting the umbilical cord to become fully
human. In both situations, Fromm believes the disobedience in both situation results in
freedom. The Adam and Eve analogy holds true only to creationists, not to evolutionists.
Atheists, agnostics, and other religions simply reject the Garden of Eden story. For these
people, the process of becoming fully human resulted in evolution over thousands of years.
However, if the analogy is true for the fetus, one must assume the mother demands the baby to
stay in the womb, not to enter the new world. Yet the purpose of procreation is to bring a new
child into this world. Birth is a natural process, not a medical procedure, thus cannot be forever
prolonged (Childbirth.org). How often is it mothers are disappointed pregnancy did not last
longer? Most mothers become ecstatic when pregnancy is over and she can enjoy God s
creation. Fromm (1963) uses the analogy in his essay to suggest the baby disobeys God.
However, once conception occurs, the mother has only one choice under God s law giving birth.
A few examples of God s will are in 1 Timothy 2:15, women will be saved through childbearing, and
how Exodus 21:22 23 mentions morally wrong abortion. With thousands of biblical examples, it
should be hard for a religious scholar to suggest a baby disobeys God s will by leaving its mothers
womb. Disobeying God can

Stand by Me
Stand By Me is a movie based on a novel by Stephen King. It tells the story of four preteens, who
during a boring summer day, embark on a journey to find the body of a dead twelve year old,
who has been missing by news accounts, but known to them, to be lying in the woods near a
river bank. The story is told as an historical narrative about the lives and relationships of the four
main characters in this movie, Gordy, Chris, Teddy, and Vern. In this essay, I will discuss how
communication, and self concept, affects the characters, and their interactions. Gordy La Chance,
who is the narrator of this story, can best be described as an introvert. He is living in the shadow
of his recently deceased brother, and is having a difficult... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One example of this would be when the group is walking along a railroad bridge and we find
Vern crawling, instead of walking, due to his fear of heights. Another example would be when
the boys are considering cutting through the woods to find the body, and he stays behind, trying
to reason with the group to follow the safe path along the railroad tracks, but in order to fit in, he
reluctantly follows. His presenting self is assured and agreeable. Inwardly, or his perceived self,
is actually worried, vulnerable, and gullible. Throughout this movie, we learn how relationships
are formed and maintained, and how our perceived self, and presenting self can be very different.
The boys continually use identity management to jockey for position in the group, however each
one knows where they actually belong. It is only when they encounter a difficult situation, that
they show their true emotions and feelings. They do stick up for each other, and show true
concern and caring when the need arises, however, in the presenting face, they play it much more
cool, and even somewhat unconcerned for each other s feelings. In the end, the relationship
between the four dwindles, and only Gordy and Chris remained friends. Gordy helped Chris to
overcome his self fulfilling prophecy by encouraging him to attend college, and become a lawyer.
Chris, in return became a significant force in

Coprophagia Research Paper
The act of consuming feces is known as coprophagia. While most humans find this disgusting, poo
eating is a normal behavior in some species. It s rare that a plant is coprophagic, such as certain
cannibalistic plants, but a surprising number of animals partake in poo.
A mother dog will eat the feces of her puppies, because they aren t able to eliminate on their own.
This happens after she licks her puppies to activate the defecation reflex. Ingestion of the feces
also keeps the nest clean. Adult dogs without puppies sometimes eat their own feces, and other
dogs feces. Some dogs even follow others around, waiting until they defecate so that they can eat
the feces right away. Dogs have also been reported to twist their bodies around so that ... Show more

Fly specks contain much undigested, or partially digested food. A fly will regurgitate some of its
stomach contents after landing on a potentially edible solid substance. The regurgitated liquid
dissolves the substance and creates more liquid for the fly to suck up.
Poo eating is normal behavior in horses, especially in foals. The feces a foal eats, especially from
its dam, is thought to introduce microorganisms in the gasto intestinal tract. These microorganisms
are needed to switch from a milk to a forage based diet. Other reasons for coprophagia in horses are
boredom, nutritional deficiency, and disease.
Opportunistic omnivores, pigs are known to eat mostly plant matter. But they ll also eat
invertebrates, small mammals, birds, and reptiles. They ll also eat poo. In Medieval Europe, pigs
were used in toilets. The toilet was built raised, and the pig lived below in a cave like chamber,
eating human waste and kitchen garbage. This practice still exists in some developing parts of the
world. In addition to human waste, pigs will also eat the waste of other animals when it contains
bits of undigested food.
Rabbits are quite adapted to eating their own poo. In addition to their regular feces, rabbit excrete
specialized feces called cecotropes. This soft stool provides nutrition, and they eat this excretion
directly from their

Abstract
During this assignment I will talk about three types of Work of Art from three different artists from
the Baroque period through the postmodern era. 1). Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio; 2)
Rembrandt van Rijn; and 3) Peter Paul Rubens, these three artists were known for their religious
theme in their art work. The naturalism that was visibly demonstrated in each of the artist work
with high contrast of lighting that noticeably appeared in these paintings. Each artist was well
known and respected for their work.

Until the late 19th century many biographers and art scholars deliberately ignored Caravaggio
work. Some people felt as if his work was to natural or just ordinary. (Sayre, 2010) His work of
art was characterized by displaying weakness or humankind. Sometime people had a difficult time
trying to figure out if his painting was religious or not. In fact the contrast in his paintings between
light and dark tones was evident in the spiritual content and its representation in the painting.
(Sayre, 2010) Caravaggio became ill on a beach in Port Ercole. Caravaggio passed away July 18,
1610 after battling with malaria which he fought to overcome.
Rembrandt van Rijn: The Resurrection of Christ c. 1635 39 (Oil on Canvas)
Description of Rembrandt Work of Art
The Resurrection of Christ is from the Baroque period. This work of art portrays the sense of
dramatic antagonism that Caravaggio achieved by manipulating light across full range of tones,
changing the intensity and transforming its radiance this was done so that every beam and shadow
expressed a dissimilar emotional content. (Sayre, 2010) In Rembrandt painting he focused on using
emotional contrast between light and dark tones to emphasize the emotional difference. Here you
can see pure light radiating out of the tomb of darkness. Christ himself begins to rise from the tomb

that creates a whole new culture where there is no respect to marriage , no real commitment , and no
regard to our traditional bonds.

We come to conclusion that people who have faith and belong to a certain church have an
optimistic attitude toward marriage , and have respect to this sacred event.( Manting,1996, p.58).
Apart from the individual himself having his own faith toward this sacred event, mothers have
animmense effect on their children concerning cohabitation. Mothers were asked about their
involvement in religious services around the year 1980 , and how vital religion is to
them(Thornton, et al., 1992, p.634). The results that were given obviously show that mother who
attend services and are very religious diminish the cohabitation rate , it varies from 13 % to 16 %
(Thornton, et al., 1992, p.639).
Overall, it is expected that people who attend religious services and value religion in their life are
more likely to shift toward real commitment and marriage rather than living together (Thornton, et
al., 1992, p.631). God considers marriage as a sacred thing between two people who are in love.
People nowadays don t believe in what God told us to do, and they let go of this sacred event only
to satisfy their own needs and

Buddhism And Its Impact On Buddhism
On one hand, Buddhism was founded in northeastern India from the teachings and doctrines taught
in the VI and V centuries BC by Siddhartha Gautama, better known as Buddha or the Enlightened
One.
Although originally emerged as a monastic movement within the dominant Brahmin tradition at that
time, Buddhism developed quickly in another direction and acquired characteristics. Buddha not
only rejected some important aspects of the philosophy of Hinduism, but also challenged the
authority of their leaders, did not accept the validity of Vedic scriptures and argued against the
sacrificial cult based on these texts. Moreover, Buddha opened his movement to people of all
castes, openly rejecting the idea that the spiritual affairs of the people were determined by the
social class into which they are born.
Buddhism is one of the major world religions in terms of adherents, geographical distribution, and
social and cultural influence. Its founder, Siddhartha Gautama believed in karma (cause and effect
ethics), Maya (the illusory nature of the world), and Samsara (the cycle of reincarnation) among
other things. Buddhists believe that the ultimate goal in life is to achieve enlightenment as they
perceive their existence.
So Buddhism seeks liberation from suffering, the goal is Nirvana. Once reached, suffering ceases to
affect the practitioner. It is important to understand that Nirvana is not heaven, or that the Buddha
as Arahant or referred to those who have reached full peace are

The very nature of the shadow economy poses an issue to its measurement. Because it is defined as
the economic activity that occurs outside the regulations and is hidden from the authorities, it is
especially difficult to detect and measure. The size and the approach to measure the underground
economy varies according to the institution conducting the estimation. However, it is fair to say that
approximately half of the Dominican Economy is informal. Table 1 summarizes a few

Critical theory , in terms of literature, can be defined as a form of criticism through the close
reading of a text and the application of knowledge acquired from the study of the humanities. The
multiple readings mentioned in the question refers to the different schools of literary criticism for
example, structuralism, feminist theory, new historicism/cultural materialism, ecocriticism and
postcolonial criticism. It is true to say that Wordsworth s I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud can be
read and interpreted in many different ways, especially when both the original and revised versions
of the poem are taken into account. In my opinion, the most interesting criticism that can be applied
to this poem is structuralism, which I will be analysing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh
CE 2020: Construction Materials
Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH

Introduction:
The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste
volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it
is a strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles
together.
All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not
have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to
the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase
from its nanometer level structure.
As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or
monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel
pores. Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores
which are relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H
phase chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction
with the cement.
When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification,
we could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more
porous that appears to occupy

The Midnight Zoo Trust Theme
The book, The Midnight Zoo by Sonya Hartnett is a fable. Hartnett weaves a story about two
Romani boys who find themselves in a zoo, which has talking animals. One of its most essential
themes, even more so than freedom, is trust. The last line of The Midnight Zoo emphasises this, as
the eagle trusts who he sees is Alice. Hartnett expresses the importance of trust by showing how it
can impact us and make us peaceful with ourselves. Hartnett builds on the theme of trust by
effectively using the primary and secondary antagonists and protagonists. She uses the animals, the
three children, and Alice to emphasise her point about trust. Hartnett delves into the true meaning
of trust in many ways through her characters, especially our protagonists, Andrej and Tomas;
different themes in the book, including bravery, loyalty, and love; and Hartnett emphasises the
importance of trust through the different symbols and motifs she uses in The Midnight Zoo.... Show

adequate provision for preservation of health and protection of the laborers and providing them with

Is There Too Much Ownership Or Knowledge
Ownership has not always held the value to humans that it holds in the modern world. Long before
philosophers, hunter gatherer groups lived without any concept of ownership, but also lacked
inequality and greed. It may be argued that, after these hunter gatherers but before the modern
time, owning and caring for possessions provided a way to move humanity forward, as goods
could be difficult to come by and even more difficult to replace. However, ownershipin present
times and society is detrimental to character, as mass production allows ownership without
genuine care and encourages a large degree of conformity. Today, things are made, sold, and
bought in a larger quantity and at a more rapid pace than ever before. Capitalism causes businesses
to manufacture products in the most efficient manner possible, so that they can reach the largest
audience possible. When a large number of people own the same things, which often have a
prescribed lifespan, a sense of responsibility is not necessary, as anything that is broken can easily

Buddhism And Its Impact On Western Asia
Buddhism is one of the largest religions in the world with an estimated 500 million adherents
located in all corners of the globe. Although Buddhism is practiced all around the world, the
majority of Buddhists are centered in the Eastern, Southern and Central parts of Asia. It was
founded in India in approximately 525 B.C. by Siddhartha Gautama. Although it was founded and
first gained a foothold in India, Buddhismtoday is usually more associated with East Asian countries
such as Korea and Japan.
Given the diversity of the peoples of East Asia and their political systems, culture and language
one might wonder what led to the expansion of Buddhism over such a large geographical area.

Release from this cycle is only achieved by attaining enlightenment, the ultimate goal for
Buddhists. A Buddha is an all knowing being who has reached that perfect state of transcendence
in which the concepts of humanities greed, hate and delusion are exterminated. Another key aspect
is that upon passing into nirvana, one is never subject to rebirth again. According to tradition, the
founder of Buddhism was born in 563 B.C.E. Siddhartha left his palace, renouncing his wealth and
status, to find the cause of suffering. After years of searching, he found his answer and went on to
teach others. When he died, he attained nirvana, the release from earthly desires and suffering, and
became the Buddha. The Buddha s teachings were written down by his followers who spread his
message. These texts are called sutras. A religion began to form and new branches of Buddhism
were created.
The introduction of Buddhism to Korea impacted the culture and politics of the region immensely.
It fundamentally changed the way in which people interacted and how political actions was carried
out. Buddhism was often used as a political tool by the ruling elites and the royal families. Before
the spread and integration of Buddhism, a very important religion for the Korea people was

Self Driving Cars
Imagine laying in bed watching your favorite movie, playing your favorite video game, or
listening to your favorite song. Now, imagine that on your way to work or to the store. Self
driving cars could make this a possibility. We have been tinkering with ideas for autonomous
vehicles for almost a century and a few companies have even been successful in designing a fully
functioning self driving car. Roads full of these video game esque cars controlled by artificial
intelligence or other means of autonomy may not be as distant in the future as one might think.
This, being a drastic change in the way we travel, could cause many issues. Due to these
potential issues, it is in our best interest to raise questions before we implement these
technologies. One possible question is: have we thought out any ramifications this might cause,
and if so, do we have an approach to fix them? Engineers have been tinkering with ideas for
driverless vehicles since the 1920s. In 1925 the first driverless car, named the Linrrican Wonder,
was taken through traffic jams up broadway and across fifth avenue in New York. The Linrrican
Wonder was controlled by a car following behind sending radio signals to small electric motors.
Later, in 1953, RCA Laboratories designed a mini car that ran along wires on the floor. Five years
later, they built a full sized model and demonstrated it by putting detector circuits under the road
that sent signals to the car and controlled the steering and brakes. RCA

and in modern society the warped perception of what it really means to have OCD continues to
undermine the severity of the disorder. OCD is recognizing as a chronic disorder where a person
has uncontrollable obsession s, reoccurring thoughts and compulsions. These compulsions are
almost always the product of some kind of fear, allowing the mind to obsess to an extreme extent.
These compulsions are different for everyone, and are sometimes temporary. New sources revealed
to us recently that Lady Macbeth may have suffered from OCD and was a major contributor... Show

Villain to others General Macbeth, who ruled Scotland as a dictator for 17 years, is now dead.
Notorious for working his way to the top through bloodshed, King Duncan s murder was only
the beginning. Macbeth was ruthless in eliminating his political opponents in Scotland, and was
ultimately recognized as the responsible party for the murder of many high profile individuals.
Macbeth s fame derives from his success as a disciplined and loyal soldier, even if other army
officers began grumbling about Scotland s naive ruler. Until three sisters predicted his future of
royalty the thought of corruption never seemed to cross his mind. Macduff s cousin, Ross,
recalled former King Duncan s views in regards to Macbeth. He described the king s mentality
towards Macbeth as hath happily received...Thy personal venture in the rebels fight, he wonders
and his praises do contend Which should be thine or his. Nothing afeard of what thyself didst
make, Strange images of death. As thick as tale Can post with post, and everyone did bear Thy
praise in his kingdom s great defense, And poured them down before him (1.3.90 100). As soon
as Macbeth heard the intentions behind King Duncan s praise, he felt the reality of the prophecy
settling in and finally agreed to follow his wife s advice and expedite his path to the throne. Yet,
will all his horrors some still saw him as brave Macbeth thy nature, it is too full o th milk of
human kindness (1.2.18, 1.5.3 4). Yet in the end, hero or not, Macbeth represents what happens if
we let some of our fundamental traits control our lives. Macbeth s regime has left us with many
questions regarding; power, politics and morality, giving us a reason to continue using his name

The Sun King also known as King Louis XIV ruled France from 1643 to 1715. Over his rule he

the golden age of literature, ordered the Edict of Fontainebleau, and engaged France in war.
King Louis XIV helped usher in the golden age of literature into France. He created institutions
to help expand the fine arts. This to me is a great thing to do solely based on the idea of the
expansion of knowledge. This would help and allow his people to expand their knowledge of the
world around them. Without Louis I believe that the golden age of literature may have never

Missing Granules Reasearch Analysis
If a hailstorm has recently passed through your area, you may want to get up on your roof and
make sure that the hailstorm did not cause any damage. If the hailstorm did cause damage, you
can file a claim for fixing your roof through your homeowner s insurance policy. Here are a few
tips for telling the difference between normal wear and tear and damage caused by the hail while
you inspect your roof.
Missing Granules
One of the key indications that you should look for when inspecting your roof are shingles where
the granules are missing. The granules are the little particles that coat the top of your shingles. Over
time, granules tend to wear off your shingles. If the missing granules were caused by the recent
hailstorm, the area underneath them should look fresh. It should not look worn and ... Show more

Hailstorms tend to leave circular areas where the granules and tends to be more scatters and
random. Normal wear and tear produces a more uniform loss of granules.
Finally, be sure to check your gutters. If the missing granules were caused by the recent hailstorm,
there should be fresh granules that were washed away by the rain that came with the storm in your
gutters.
Cracks
While you are inspecting your roof, pay attention to any cracks that you see. Cracks as a result
of wear and tear tend to straighter and tend to go in flow with the directions of the tiles on your
roof. Cracks caused by a hail storm tend to be extremely random; the cracks will be scattered
across your roof. Also, instead of being straight in nature, the cracks will either be semi circular or
circular in nature.
Indentations
Finally, if you are able to, reach down and feel the surface of your roof. Your tiles should feel flat
and smooth, even if they are older. However, indentations or depressions on your roof are a sign of
hail damage, since your roof does not natural wear this

the storyline, Robert has the determination to solve the Zodiac murders and figure out who the

The Culture Of The 1960 s
During our first module of Performance Cultures, we explored and researched into the counter
cultures of the 1960 s; how those movements shaped not only the development of the
performance world but also the culture of modern day life. A prominent factor in the culture of
the 1960 s was the art of protest. We as class researched heavily into the different areas of protest
during that time, as it really was an era in which the people fought back against governments and
elitist institutes. To begin, we looked at the Hippie culture; their shared beliefs and the changes
they were trying to make in the world. Many hippies used music to portray their political and
cultural views. The use of music meant that the messages were available to all, instead of being
restricted to those with the right education on politics. A huge proprietor within the hippie society
was Bob Dylanwho used the music industry to spread their messages through songs such as
Masters of War (1963) and Blowin in the Wind (1963). Protest songs were not only used
throughout the hippie movement, but are a thread that ties together many of the counter cultures in
the 1960 s such as punk, and black rights movements through soul and funk music. I particularly
enjoyed this area of study; being a trained and experienced singer, I very much took advantage of a
situation in which I could learn more about the roots of the music industry that I perform within.
So, when we were asked to create our own protest

Clemens The War Prayer
Clemens piece is written as a condemnation of the strong religious and nationalistic bellicosity he
saw evident in his nation and other alike in his lifetime. This fervor for war was routinely
justified by war theology established in the Old Testament. Clemens, having seen the horror
rendered by the total war wrought upon the south by Sherman s march and the Civil War as a
whole, it is easy to imagine how strongly opposed he would be to the war theology evident in
The Book of Joshua . The War Prayer , is perhaps Clemens attempt to rid the nation of the war
theology that in some degree had helped justice the ferocity of the Civil War. The piece begins
describing a nation which is at the onset of war. Clemens describes man and woman alike, filled
with a fiery desire for war, fueled by their belief in nation and God, not unlike the Israelites in, The
Book of Joshua . The parallels drawn between the people of the two texts makes Clemens writing
all the more effective as a criticism of, The Book of Joshua . Clemens make very clear that
nation s lust for war is perpetuated by an aggressive war theology. Clemens describes the scene, in
the churches the pastors preached devotion to flag and country, and invoked the God of Battles
beseeching His aid in our good cause in outpourings of fervid eloquence which moved every
listener (Twain, par. 1). In the following paragraph, Clemens further highlights the relationship
between religion and the fervor for war in his description

William Shakespeare s Family Dynamics
Many fathers appear in the works of William Shakespeare, family dynamics are the center of nearly
all his plays. Shakespeare must have known that relations between members of shared bloodlines
were ripe for drama, suspense, and highly emotional content. However, despite the many fathers
depicted, and plays named for them, fathers King Lear and Titus Andronicusstand as share contrasts
to one another. Both have their plays named ominously for them, insinuating that they are the
center of the events, as was expected in during the period when these plays were written and
published. Despite the separate locations and time periods the plays are set in, the patriarchal
line of importance remains in both. However, Titus represents a man who loses the ability to
control and protect his children from sinister others and even himself. Lear, however, suffers the
tragedy of being betrayed and harmed by his own children. In this aspect Lear and Titus represent
two extreme examples of fatherhood, and explore the faults and dangers of each. Titus
Andronicus is set in ancient Rome and portrays the triumphant return of Titus Andronicus, as a
war hero, bringing with him the spoils of war in the form of the Queen of Goths, Tamora, and her
three sons. Roman custom dictated a sacrifice be made to as Titus puts his twenty two sons to
rest. Titus selects the eldest of Tamora s son to be used for the sacrifice. Tamora pleads to Titus for
mercy, which he refuses, setting the whole revenge play into

The Pros And Cons Of Standardized Testing For Students
Clammy hands, extreme anxiety, and increased heart rate are all symptoms that occur along side
standardized tests. Standardized tests have found their way into the center of American education.
These achievement tests are used to determine a student s performance in particular content areas
for a certain school year. The student s scores are then cross referenced to the scores of all other
students that took the same test (Haladyna). Many students work hard during their educational
careers, only to do poorly on a standardized testand lose their chances at being accepted into any
decent college. Standardized tests are not beneficial to the student nor to the teacher and are
sometimes even harmful. Students should be given standardized tests less frequently and educators
should place less emphasis on scores students receive on these tests. Standardized exams favor
upper class majority students, decrease the quality of public education, and ineffectively measure a
student s achievement. By using standardized tests to measure a student s academic ability and
achievement, the education system is giving the upper hand to higher class, racial majority
students. Standard exams are racially biased and include questions that favor white students. One
study showed that average reading SATscore for white students was 99 points higher than the
average reading score of black students on the same test (Jaschik). An explanation for such a drastic
difference in scores lies within the

CHAPTER 2 LITERATURE REVIEW Introduction The Internet is more than just a means of
seeking information. People discovered that the Internet could be used to connect with other
people, whether for business or commercial purpose, make new friends, reawaken old friends
and long lost relatives. The emergence of social networking sites (SNSs) simplify the whole
process as majority of them are free to use, they are easier to use and navigate, because it does not
require advanced knowledge and experience of the internet and are made up of a wide array of
different formats and topics; this means that just about anyone can connect. Currently, there are

The profile is generated using the answers to these questions, which typically include descriptors
such as age, location, interests, and an about me section. Most sites also encourage users to
upload a profile photo. Some sites allow users to enhance their profiles by adding multimedia
content or modifying their profile s look and feel. Others, such as Facebook, allow users to add
modules ( Applications ) that enhance their profile. The visibility of a profile varies by site and
according to user discretion. By default, profiles on Friendster and Tribe.net are crawled by
search engines, making them visible to anyone, regardless of whether or not the viewer has an
account. Alternatively, LinkedIn controls what a viewer may see based on whether she or he
has a paid account. Sites like MySpace allow users to choose whether they want their profile to
be public or Friends only. Facebook takes a different approach by default, users who are part of
the same network can view each other s profiles, unless a profile owner has decided to deny
permission to those in their network. Structural variations around visibility and access are one of
the primary ways that SNSs differentiate themselves from each other. (Boyd, 2006) After joining a
social network site, users are prompted to identify others in the system with whom they have a
relationship. The label for these relationships differs depending on the site popular terms include

In many books, characters often have to overcome trials in order to know who they truly are.
One example of this is Harry Potter. When Harry is first exposed to the magical community, he
is the wizard equivalent of Mozart in that they were both child prodigies. His name is revered
since he is the only known person to survive the killing curse and has that achievement attached
to his name. This is just how others view him, however, and is not his true identity. The famous

How Did German Influence American Education
4.1. Educational and academic contributions
According to Walz book German influence in American education and culture, Germany was early
rated as a very attractive country for intellectual purposes (Walz 1936, p. 10f.).
Therefore many Americans decided for a discovery of a new continent of intellectual and spiritual
ideas and studied in the popular German universities like Göttingen or Berlin (Walz 1936, p. 10).
In addition to this fact within America, German ideas, respectively, the German language received
growing public interest, what can be also attributed to the various German settlements in the US

education in the United States (Walz 1936, p. 27).
With this prediction, he should be proved right because it didn t last long, until the Americans, who
were fascinated by Prussian school system introduced schools after the German model.
The first Normal School was established 1839 in Lexington in Massachusetts (Walz 1936, p. 30).
Exemplary for the impact of German immigrants on US education was also the adoption of the
German pre school education Kindergarten.
Introduced by the Prussian immigrant Margarethe Meyer Schurz, in Watertown in Wisconsin 1856,
the successful conception of the Kindergarten in the German communities reached US public
education, where it was integrated in the end and became a standard system (Wust 1983, p. 90f.).

In my opinion the weaknesses of Panera Bread are the stringent criteria to gain a consideration
for a Panera Bread franchise and the huge amount of initial investment for a Panera Bread bakery
cafe referred in the exhibit 7 in this case which cost approximately 1,003,000 to 2,235,175

be a barrier of the expanding strategy in the long run. Moreover, because of the company has its

Proficiency Why Did Islam Spread So Quickly? It all began in a cave. Muhammad started Islam
in 610 BC and after that it spread throughout Arabia and regions near it. Islam was able to do this
quickly because of its military success, trade connections, and political order. One reason Islam
spread fast was because Muslims used force. From the beginning, Muhammad believed that Arab
Muslims should not attack other Muslims. However, they could raid non Muslims and take their
things. These were called ghazu raids (Document D). Later the raids got bigger and became
military campaigns and spread across the middle east, North Africa, and into Spain (Document C).
Without force, Islam would not have spread so quickly. Another thing that helped spread Islam

Miranda system, individuals did not receive a fair trial considering that some were forced to plead
guilty for a crimethat they did not commit. It wasn t until 1964 that the Supreme Court realized that
the accused rights should be protected during an interrogation. Miranda was a step forward in order
to protect our rights as citizens, and has evolved over time in order to prevent an unlawful
confession. The Fifth amendment in the United States Constitution protects from self
incrimination. According to Gaines and Miller, A defendant cannot be required to provide
information about his or her own criminal activity (Gaines and Miller, p.234). In the early years of
our Criminal Justicesystem, our government had taken very little initiative to protect our
fundamental right that we would be protected from self incrimination. However, in 1964, the
Supreme Court received a case that led to the Miranda Decision. Escobedo v. Illinois set the stage
for Miranda and impacted how the criminal justice system would prosecute offenders. Escobedo v.
Illinois, consisted of a convicted murderer who had incriminated himself... Policeofficers ignored
the defendant s request to speak with his lawyer (Gaines and Miller, p.234). Also, Miranda was
not informed of his rights prior to the police

The Effect Of Internal Controller On Single Phase Three...
If v_control v_carrier, switch A1 is ON, else switch A1 is OFF. If v_control v_carrier, switch A4
is ON, else switch A4 is OFF. To avoid simultaneous connection to node O, just two switches can
be turned ON at the meantime. In this manner, switches A1 A3 and A2 A4 are complementary.

3.4 SSSC Controller
The controller for the SSSC can be isolated, generally, into two main controllers, namely internal
and external controllers. The main function of the internal controller is to give the control signal to
drive the gate pattern generator of the power converter keeping in mind to generate a fundamental
output voltage waveform with the desired magnitude and phase angle in synchronism with the ac
power system. The function of the external controller, if exists, is to alter the reference signals
which decides the practical operation of the SSSC so as to accomplish the desired system
performance. The block diagram of the SSSC controller is represented in Figure 3.13.
A measurement block is utilized to get the vital variables to be handled in the control procedure.
The computation of the infused reactance is accomplished by separating the infused voltage by the
line current (rms values). The computed infused reactance is then contrasted with the altered
reference reactance (the sum of the reference reactance

David is a marble statue seen as a nude male and is 17 feet tall. The sculpture is in Florence Italy in
Galleria dell Accademia. This sculpture took Michelangelo three years to complete and was
finished in 1504. David is the first nude standing sculpture in a thousand years and is a symbol
of Florence. Michelangelo is thought to believe that he borrowed the idea from the Greek and
the Hellenistic Era to build a nude sculpture. David represents victory and a hero. As seen in the
sculpture, Michelangelo uses the technique of contrapposto that was used in Greek art and
Hellenistic art. David is putting more weight on one foot than another and that creates the twist
off with his hips and legs. The slingshot that David is holding represents a weapon that he used to
defeat Goliath. The whole story that comes with the sculpture is Goliath was seemed as
impossible to defeat but David comes around and defeats Goliath with a slingshot and beheads
him. The lines and the detail that Michelangelo put in represents the use of geometry/math.
Rather than being relaxed, David s face is tight and looks like he is ready for battle. His eyes are
looking at someone or something far away and ready for something to happen. Many people
compare Donatello s David to Michelangelo s David because they appear different but were
based on the same story. In Donatello s David, he is seen standing on top of Goliath s head and

  • 2. Cooperation And The Requirement Of Stronger Enforcement cooperation and the requirement of stronger enforcement or more systematic dispute settlement mechanism. My second hypothesis is that international institutions or treaties of members of significantly asymmetric national capability will have a stronger dispute settlement mechanism. That is to say, In other words, an institution that contains asymmetry of power in terms of national capacity, military capacity, economic capability, and legal resources should have stronger DSMs. In this situation, powerful states might seek for stronger DSMs for gaining advantage within institutions. The underlying logic of this idea, based on Allee and Elsig is that many DSMs allow for both diplomatic and legal dispute settlement, so powerful states can benefit from having a menu of dispute settlement options that allows them to forum shop even within treaties. (Allee 97) Also, for weaker countries, stronger DSMs can give weaker countries the equal chance to argue with more powerful countries under certain framework. Strong DSMs provide relatively weaker countries such as Mexico has more capability to confront with more powerful countries and boost their chance to win the confrontation. To prove this hypothesis, I will find asymmetric countries in size and compare the agreements of these asymmetric countries to some symmetric countries. The expected conclusion should be that agreement with more heterogeneous countries would have stronger DSM. There are many existing cases can prove this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Advantages Of Maglev Train Maglev train denotes the train is lifted above its tracts by electromagnetic force. With the maglev technology developing rapidly, maglev train has been widely applied nowadays like Japan HTTS series and German TR series. This essay will examine the key technologies of maglev train from both the dominated systems and the main characteristics of high and low speed maglev trains perspectives. There are three main systems: suspension system, guidance and brake system and traction system. As the most crucial yet challenging one, suspension system is established to achieve train s levitation. According to Long, He and Xue(2011), there are two types of suspension system: EMS system and EDS system. The former one appears to be more widely used recently. As for EMS system, as an abbreviation standing for electromagnetic suspension, it achieves train s levitation by using the force of attraction between the permanent magnet mounted on board and the railway track( Long, He and Xue, 2011). In addition, feedback control loops are necessary and crucial in this system. According to Earnshaw s law, which states that a permanent magnet can never stay static in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can be explained by the magnetic principle that the same poles repel, different poles attract. As with the process, based on the force decomposition principle, the inverted U shaped magnetically rail and magnet produce the repulsive electromagnetic force with an inclined angle, which can be decomposed into the guiding force along the lateral component and the suspension force along the vertical component. In addition, Liu, Long and Li(2015) illustrated that current adjustment in suspension magnet is adopted to keep suspension in a certain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Erich Fromm s Disobedience as a Psychological and Moral... Erich Fromm s Disobedience as a Psychological and Moral Problem In Disobedience as a Psychological and Moral Problem, Erich Fromm (1963) argues that society will self destruct without achieving freedom through disobedience. Fromm begins with analogies of Hebrew and Greek mythology showing how disobedience to a god freed humans. Using this correlation, Fromm shows freedom as a condition for disobedience, and vice versa. Therefore, Fromm proclaims that without disobedience the human race could destroy itself within a generation. Fromm s article, first published in 1963, stems from fear of a third world war. Despite the outdated comment by Behrens and Rosen in the introduction, the article still applies to suggestion human... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fromm relates this to the fetus in the womb and to cutting the umbilical cord to become fully human. In both situations, Fromm believes the disobedience in both situation results in freedom. The Adam and Eve analogy holds true only to creationists, not to evolutionists. Atheists, agnostics, and other religions simply reject the Garden of Eden story. For these people, the process of becoming fully human resulted in evolution over thousands of years. However, if the analogy is true for the fetus, one must assume the mother demands the baby to stay in the womb, not to enter the new world. Yet the purpose of procreation is to bring a new child into this world. Birth is a natural process, not a medical procedure, thus cannot be forever prolonged (Childbirth.org). How often is it mothers are disappointed pregnancy did not last longer? Most mothers become ecstatic when pregnancy is over and she can enjoy God s creation. Fromm (1963) uses the analogy in his essay to suggest the baby disobeys God. However, once conception occurs, the mother has only one choice under God s law giving birth. A few examples of God s will are in 1 Timothy 2:15, women will be saved through childbearing, and how Exodus 21:22 23 mentions morally wrong abortion. With thousands of biblical examples, it should be hard for a religious scholar to suggest a baby disobeys God s will by leaving its mothers womb. Disobeying God can ... • 5. Stand by Me Stand By Me is a movie based on a novel by Stephen King. It tells the story of four preteens, who during a boring summer day, embark on a journey to find the body of a dead twelve year old, who has been missing by news accounts, but known to them, to be lying in the woods near a river bank. The story is told as an historical narrative about the lives and relationships of the four main characters in this movie, Gordy, Chris, Teddy, and Vern. In this essay, I will discuss how communication, and self concept, affects the characters, and their interactions. Gordy La Chance, who is the narrator of this story, can best be described as an introvert. He is living in the shadow of his recently deceased brother, and is having a difficult... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One example of this would be when the group is walking along a railroad bridge and we find Vern crawling, instead of walking, due to his fear of heights. Another example would be when the boys are considering cutting through the woods to find the body, and he stays behind, trying to reason with the group to follow the safe path along the railroad tracks, but in order to fit in, he reluctantly follows. His presenting self is assured and agreeable. Inwardly, or his perceived self, is actually worried, vulnerable, and gullible. Throughout this movie, we learn how relationships are formed and maintained, and how our perceived self, and presenting self can be very different. The boys continually use identity management to jockey for position in the group, however each one knows where they actually belong. It is only when they encounter a difficult situation, that they show their true emotions and feelings. They do stick up for each other, and show true concern and caring when the need arises, however, in the presenting face, they play it much more cool, and even somewhat unconcerned for each other s feelings. In the end, the relationship between the four dwindles, and only Gordy and Chris remained friends. Gordy helped Chris to overcome his self fulfilling prophecy by encouraging him to attend college, and become a lawyer. Chris, in return became a significant force in ... • 6. Coprophagia Research Paper The act of consuming feces is known as coprophagia. While most humans find this disgusting, poo eating is a normal behavior in some species. It s rare that a plant is coprophagic, such as certain cannibalistic plants, but a surprising number of animals partake in poo. A mother dog will eat the feces of her puppies, because they aren t able to eliminate on their own. This happens after she licks her puppies to activate the defecation reflex. Ingestion of the feces also keeps the nest clean. Adult dogs without puppies sometimes eat their own feces, and other dogs feces. Some dogs even follow others around, waiting until they defecate so that they can eat the feces right away. Dogs have also been reported to twist their bodies around so that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fly specks contain much undigested, or partially digested food. A fly will regurgitate some of its stomach contents after landing on a potentially edible solid substance. The regurgitated liquid dissolves the substance and creates more liquid for the fly to suck up. Poo eating is normal behavior in horses, especially in foals. The feces a foal eats, especially from its dam, is thought to introduce microorganisms in the gasto intestinal tract. These microorganisms are needed to switch from a milk to a forage based diet. Other reasons for coprophagia in horses are boredom, nutritional deficiency, and disease. Opportunistic omnivores, pigs are known to eat mostly plant matter. But they ll also eat invertebrates, small mammals, birds, and reptiles. They ll also eat poo. In Medieval Europe, pigs were used in toilets. The toilet was built raised, and the pig lived below in a cave like chamber, eating human waste and kitchen garbage. This practice still exists in some developing parts of the world. In addition to human waste, pigs will also eat the waste of other animals when it contains bits of undigested food. Rabbits are quite adapted to eating their own poo. Until the late 19th century many biographers and art scholars deliberately ignored Caravaggio work. Some people felt as if his work was to natural or just ordinary. (Sayre, 2010) His work of art was characterized by displaying weakness or humankind. Sometime people had a difficult time trying to figure out if his painting was religious or not. In fact the contrast in his paintings between light and dark tones was evident in the spiritual content and its representation in the painting. (Sayre, 2010) Caravaggio became ill on a beach in Port Ercole. Caravaggio passed away July 18, 1610 after battling with malaria which he fought to overcome. • 11. Buddhism And Its Impact On Buddhism On one hand, Buddhism was founded in northeastern India from the teachings and doctrines taught in the VI and V centuries BC by Siddhartha Gautama, better known as Buddha or the Enlightened One. Although originally emerged as a monastic movement within the dominant Brahmin tradition at that time, Buddhism developed quickly in another direction and acquired characteristics. Buddha not only rejected some important aspects of the philosophy of Hinduism, but also challenged the authority of their leaders, did not accept the validity of Vedic scriptures and argued against the sacrificial cult based on these texts. Moreover, Buddha opened his movement to people of all castes, openly rejecting the idea that the spiritual affairs of the people were determined by the social class into which they are born. Buddhism is one of the major world religions in terms of adherents, geographical distribution, and social and cultural influence. Its founder, Siddhartha Gautama believed in karma (cause and effect ethics), Maya (the illusory nature of the world), and Samsara (the cycle of reincarnation) among other things. Buddhists believe that the ultimate goal in life is to achieve enlightenment as they perceive their existence. So Buddhism seeks liberation from suffering, the goal is Nirvana. Once reached, suffering ceases to affect the practitioner. • 15. Report On Chemical Composition And Structure Of Csh CE 2020: Construction Materials Report on Chemical composition and Structure of CSH Arjit Soni ES13B1005 Introduction: The C S H gel is the most abundant reaction product in cement, occupying about half of the paste volume, it is also responsible for most of the properties of cement paste. This is just not because it is a strong or stable phase but because it forms a continuous layer that binds the cement particles together. All the other hydration products of cement form discrete crystals that are naturally strong but do not have good connections to the solid phases they are in contact with hence cannot contribute much to the overall strength of the cement paste. C S H gel gets the ability of the to act as a binding phase from its nanometer level structure. As C S H gel grows outward from the cement particles, it does not form a single large block or monolithic solid phase but instead develops a complex internal system of tiny pores, called gel pores. Gel pores are hundreds or thousands of times smaller than the original capillary pores which are relatively large. The liquid water present in the gel pores is not part of the solid C S H phase chemically but it is physically isolated, thus it cannot undergo any further chemical reaction with the cement. When hydrated cement paste is observed under microscope at moderate level of magnification, we could see two apparently different types of C S H gel. One of these gel is less dense and more porous that appears to occupy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of its most essential themes, even more so than freedom, is trust. The last line of The Midnight Zoo emphasises this, as the eagle trusts who he sees is Alice. Hartnett expresses the importance of trust by showing how it can impact us and make us peaceful with ourselves. Hartnett builds on the theme of trust by effectively using the primary and secondary antagonists and protagonists. She uses the animals, the three children, and Alice to emphasise her point about trust. Hartnett delves into the true meaning of trust in many ways through her characters, especially our protagonists, Andrej and Tomas; different themes in the book, including bravery, loyalty, and love; and Hartnett emphasises the importance of trust through the different symbols and motifs she uses in The Midnight Zoo.... • 18. Is There Too Much Ownership Or Knowledge Ownership has not always held the value to humans that it holds in the modern world. Long before philosophers, hunter gatherer groups lived without any concept of ownership, but also lacked inequality and greed. It may be argued that, after these hunter gatherers but before the modern time, owning and caring for possessions provided a way to move humanity forward, as goods could be difficult to come by and even more difficult to replace. However, ownershipin present times and society is detrimental to character, as mass production allows ownership without genuine care and encourages a large degree of conformity. Today, things are made, sold, and bought in a larger quantity and at a more rapid pace than ever before. Capitalism causes businesses to manufacture products in the most efficient manner possible, so that they can reach the largest audience possible. Roads full of these video game esque cars controlled by artificial intelligence or other means of autonomy may not be as distant in the future as one might think. This, being a drastic change in the way we travel, could cause many issues. Due to these potential issues, it is in our best interest to raise questions before we implement these technologies. One possible question is: have we thought out any ramifications this might cause, and if so, do we have an approach to fix them? Engineers have been tinkering with ideas for driverless vehicles since the 1920s. In 1925 the first driverless car, named the Linrrican Wonder, was taken through traffic jams up broadway and across fifth avenue in New York. The Linrrican Wonder was controlled by a car following behind sending radio signals to small electric motors. Later, in 1953, RCA Laboratories designed a mini car that ran along wires on the floor. The Culture Of The 1960 s During our first module of Performance Cultures, we explored and researched into the counter cultures of the 1960 s; how those movements shaped not only the development of the performance world but also the culture of modern day life. A prominent factor in the culture of the 1960 s was the art of protest. We as class researched heavily into the different areas of protest during that time, as it really was an era in which the people fought back against governments and elitist institutes. To begin, we looked at the Hippie culture; their shared beliefs and the changes they were trying to make in the world. Many hippies used music to portray their political and cultural views. The use of music meant that the messages were available to all, instead of being restricted to those with the right education on politics. A huge proprietor within the hippie society was Bob Dylanwho used the music industry to spread their messages through songs such as Masters of War (1963) and Blowin in the Wind (1963). Protest songs were not only used throughout the hippie movement, but are a thread that ties together many of the counter cultures in the 1960 s such as punk, and black rights movements through soul and funk music. This fervor for war was routinely justified by war theology established in the Old Testament. The piece begins describing a nation which is at the onset of war. Clemens describes man and woman alike, filled with a fiery desire for war, fueled by their belief in nation and God, not unlike the Israelites in, The Book of Joshua . The parallels drawn between the people of the two texts makes Clemens writing all the more effective as a criticism of, The Book of Joshua . The only thing I change was the counters for the cubes. The student learned how to do simple division using equal grouping. I know that she learned because she worked out few problems by herself at the end of the video. Shakespeare must have known that relations between members of shared bloodlines were ripe for drama, suspense, and highly emotional content. However, despite the many fathers depicted, and plays named for them, fathers King Lear and Titus Andronicusstand as share contrasts to one another. Both have their plays named ominously for them, insinuating that they are the center of the events, as was expected in during the period when these plays were written and published. Despite the separate locations and time periods the plays are set in, the patriarchal line of importance remains in both. However, Titus represents a man who loses the ability to control and protect his children from sinister others and even himself. Lear, however, suffers the tragedy of being betrayed and harmed by his own children. In this aspect Lear and Titus represent two extreme examples of fatherhood, and explore the faults and dangers of each. Titus Andronicus is set in ancient Rome and portrays the triumphant return of Titus Andronicus, as a war hero, bringing with him the spoils of war in the form of the Queen of Goths, Tamora, and her three sons. Two Native American tales, The Chief s Daughters and The Girl Who Was Not Satisfied with Simple Things, testify that just because it appears to be the best, does not mean it is as it appears. Despite the fact the characters in The Chief s Daughters and The Girl Who Was Not Satisfied with Simple Things are similar in their desires to have the best but get the opposite in reality, they both receive help from old men, and both eventually end up back at home; the characters differ because one character intentionally leaves her home whereas one does not, and one listens to the old man and one does not. • 33. The Pros And Cons Of Standardized Testing For Students Clammy hands, extreme anxiety, and increased heart rate are all symptoms that occur along side standardized tests. Standardized tests have found their way into the center of American education. These achievement tests are used to determine a student s performance in particular content areas for a certain school year. The student s scores are then cross referenced to the scores of all other students that took the same test (Haladyna). Many students work hard during their educational careers, only to do poorly on a standardized testand lose their chances at being accepted into any decent college. Standardized tests are not beneficial to the student nor to the teacher and are sometimes even harmful. Students should be given standardized tests less frequently and educators should place less emphasis on scores students receive on these tests. Standardized exams favor upper class majority students, decrease the quality of public education, and ineffectively measure a student s achievement. By using standardized tests to measure a student s academic ability and achievement, the education system is giving the upper hand to higher class, racial majority students. Standard exams are racially biased and include questions that favor white students. One study showed that average reading SATscore for white students was 99 points higher than the average reading score of black students on the same test (Jaschik). An explanation for such a drastic difference in scores lies within the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

People discovered that the Internet could be used to connect with other people, whether for business or commercial purpose, make new friends, reawaken old friends and long lost relatives. Most sites also encourage users to upload a profile photo. Some sites allow users to enhance their profiles by adding multimedia content or modifying their profile s look and feel. Others, such as Facebook, allow users to add modules ( Applications ) that enhance their profile. The visibility of a profile varies by site and according to user discretion. By default, profiles on Friendster and Tribe.net are crawled by search engines, making them visible to anyone, regardless of whether or not the viewer has an account. Alternatively, LinkedIn controls what a viewer may see based on whether she or he has a paid account. Sites like MySpace allow users to choose whether they want their profile to be public or Friends only. Facebook takes a different approach by default, users who are part of the same network can view each other s profiles, unless a profile owner has decided to deny permission to those in their network. Structural variations around visibility and access are one of the primary ways that SNSs differentiate themselves from each other. (Boyd, 2006) After joining a social network site, users are prompted to identify others in the system with whom they have a relationship. The label for these relationships differs depending on the site popular terms include Friends, Contacts, and Fans. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Muhammad started Islam in 610 BC and after that it spread throughout Arabia and regions near it. Islam was able to do this quickly because of its military success, trade connections, and political order. One reason Islam spread fast was because Muslims used force. From the beginning, Muhammad believed that Arab Muslims should not attack other Muslims. However, they could raid non Muslims and take their things. These were called ghazu raids (Document D). Later the raids got bigger and became military campaigns and spread across the middle east, North Africa, and into Spain (Document C). Without force, Islam would not have spread so quickly. Prior to the Miranda system, individuals did not receive a fair trial considering that some were forced to plead guilty for a crimethat they did not commit. It wasn t until 1964 that the Supreme Court realized that the accused rights should be protected during an interrogation. Miranda was a step forward in order to protect our rights as citizens, and has evolved over time in order to prevent an unlawful confession. The main function of the internal controller is to give the control signal to drive the gate pattern generator of the power converter keeping in mind to generate a fundamental output voltage waveform with the desired magnitude and phase angle in synchronism with the ac power system. The function of the external controller, if exists, is to alter the reference signals which decides the practical operation of the SSSC so as to accomplish the desired system performance. The block diagram of the SSSC controller is represented in Figure 3.13. A measurement block is utilized to get the vital variables to be handled in the control procedure. Michelangelo is thought to believe that he borrowed the idea from the Greek and the Hellenistic Era to build a nude sculpture. David represents victory and a hero. As seen in the sculpture, Michelangelo uses the technique of contrapposto that was used in Greek art and Hellenistic art. David is putting more weight on one foot than another and that creates the twist off with his hips and legs. The slingshot that David is holding represents a weapon that he used to defeat Goliath.
