Abstract Bottle rockets, people see them as middle school science projects where kids have fun and
build little rockets. Actually there is a lot behind bottle rockets, it's more than just throw some
plastic bottle together and glue some wings to it and fly it. The researcher chose this topic because in
his class they are doing the bottle rocket project and he wanted to find out which rocket was more

A good water rocket has a lot of qualities and one of them is hang time a good rocket has a good
hang time. The problem is not a lot of people know how to make a rocket with good hang time and
neither did the researcher. He wanted to find out what dimensions of a rocket would make it have a
great hang time.
Before you go into building a rocket for hang time the researcher advises to build a stable rocket
first. "One important factor in designing a stable rocket is considering the stability of the bottles
used. Different bottles have different natural stabilities. Bottles with a short center–section and a
long neck have a naturally high center of gravity. High, that is, if it is used as a rocket; low if the
bottle is sitting on a shelf. Newer bottles are designed this way, because they are less likely to tip
over. When we flip the bottle upside–down, to be used as a rocket, this shape works to our benefit,
because the center of gravity is already high in the rocket, resulting in smaller fins and less weight

The reason for millions of people using plastic water bottles is that everyone needs to drink water.
However, many people do not know that a plastic bottle can be more harmful than beneficial for the
drinker's health. Refillable water bottles (which may be plastic but are made for refillable use)
should be used instead of plastic bottles because they are cheaper, healthier, and better for the Earth.
Refillable water bottles may seem expensive, but in the long run it will be much cheaper. "On

money it would take to buy an eight dollar Contigo refillable bottle from Walmart that would do the
job. Up to one fifth of Americans have tap water that is not drinkable (Karp par. 1). However, there
are refillable water bottles with filters. Refillable water bottles with filters may be more expensive,
but it is easy to find a cheap one at Walmart. For example someone could buy a ten dollar Brita filter
water bottle. Investing in a refillable bottle will already save someone money after one month of
use.
Refilling a plastic bottle can have unforeseen consequences. Using a refillable water bottle is better
for the drinker's health than drinking out of plastic bottles only meant to be used once because they

This works best with a two liter bottle because of the size. First, cut the top off to create a funnel.
Then you cut the threaded neck off to create a bigger opening in the funnel or leave it in its original

For as long as I can remember, my family has always purchased plastic water bottles and until
recently, I have taken a new stance on them. As a student at Texas Tech University, one of my spring

was a study which showed that 96% of women had BPA in their bodies. Water bottles also have
phthalates. Phthalates are used to make polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which makes bottles more

However, getting tap water from the fridge can be even more helpful! There won't be any chemicals
from the plastic, and if the water doesn't seem right, filters from the store will be just fine.
Purchasing a refillable water bottle will serve the purpose of bottled water, minus the chemicals.
And the killing of animals. And the pollution in the ocean. And the litter all over our environment.
There are many, many, many reasons to not use bottled water. It will hurt animals in the ocean,
pollute our oceans, and will pollute our environment. If saving the environment and keeping it clean
matters, then we should listen to the following: Use a glass or something reuseable for when you're
