Please find below the covering letter which outlines my capabilities, experience and my current Resume.
I have proven ability to take ownership of the duties in many of the areas of your company has to offer. I am interested in a
position within your Company because I have the essential transferable skills and knowledge to ensure compliance with any
tasks that are set for me. I am very interested in many of the job roles and/or advancement you could provide for me.
I have grown up on the Gold Coast and lived here for over 25 years, I have travelled throughout Europe and the UK for two
years whilst living and working as an assistant to the elderly with dementia.
I have had 2 years’ experience in food and beverage, and two years’ experience in retail sales in almost all areas of the Big W
department store.
For the last 10 years I have been employed as an enthusiastic team member within many sales and marketing companies here
on the Gold Coast, including Janus Corporation, Sales Dynamic’s, Emu Investments, AIF Investments. I have successfully
applied my experience and knowledge to all tasks and ensured compliance with appropriate administrative disciplines and
methodologies which include:
• Customer service and team support
• Setting up trials for clients and their accounts
• Sending and receiving emails and making and taking phone calls
• Meeting office targets and deadlines
• Sharing Knowledge of the tourism industry and meeting any requested requirements
• Team building and guidance for fellow team members while assisting them to learn new product knowledge and
• Booking appointments
I have completed a Certificate III in tourism Sales and Management; this has reinforced my awareness, understanding and
ability to perform to current standards and principles. I have demonstrated that I use appropriate information to generate options
that addresses any work related problems. I have received excellent feedback from my Managers and CEO. This experience
has also given me the opportunity to take a proactive role in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Results Orientation: I take pride in delivering a high quality of service, and I work to meet the standards set by others. As a
friendly receptionist/sales team leader I follow through on actions every day and I enjoy seeing the results from my efforts to
please and help people. I take up to 150 + phone calls a day, from these calls I generate messages for/from/to stakeholders,’
managers, internal and external staff. I clarify all of the details that I take from every phone call I receive. My goal for each day
is that all messages I take, get to the person they are intended for. I prioritise urgent information and juggle all tasks to meet the
standards that are required to be a professional receptionist. I report all maintenance issues and customer complaints into the
customer feedback register, prior to this step, if I don’t have knowledge of any particular area that has been reported to me, I
check in with my CEO as this alleviates incorrect information being passed on and shows my effort to improve my standard of
work and that of the work unit.
Customer Focus: I have proven ability to identify and respond proactively to the varying needs of a diverse group of clients.
I understand and am able to interact with every type of person that I may have to assist in whichever field that you may find
most suitable for me.
Team Work and Collaboration: I have demonstrated my ability to work cooperatively within a group whilst contributing to the
team goals. My overall objective is to create a work environment that facilitates staff motivation whilst building morale and team
ethics. As a team member and leader, I am conscious of delivering outcomes to a high standard while also sharing information,
asking and providing assistance when it is required and I also listen and accept feedback with a smile. This demonstrates my
