To Whom It May Concern:
As, Spencer Hays, once said, “Success isn’t something you get and you got. Instead, success is a journey
of improvement and becoming better.” As wonderfully simplistic as that declaration sounds it develops the
most fundamental attribute of a successful sales person, being able to handle rejection. To thrive in a
career as diverse and difficult as sales “no” is something you must become accustomed to hearing. My
background and development has prepared me to not only handle rejection but also excel in overcoming
it.
Successful organizations in today’s business world need job candidates whose personal strengths and
professional experience are diverse. Research has shown that exceptional employees must possess
strong public speaking ability, building outstanding rapport, and an impenetrable work ethic. The following
examples will illustrate my credibility with all of these necessary qualifications.
 My public speaking ability is evident in my appointment to the Executive Board of Black Men
United. Being the current treasurer as well as president elect has allocated me the opportunity to
grow my communication skills by administering speeches to the community; in addition to
communicating effectively with prestige professors and businessmen within my local community.
These speaking and communications skills will benefit your company with an employee who is
able to communicate with fellow employees, current partners, as well as potential buyers.
 My empathy towards building rapport can be seen in my position throughout SIFE-
ENACTUS as the Project Feed Advertising Chair. The Texas State Nationally award
winning SIFE-ENACTUS program has helped develop my ability to build relationship
with my colleagues, communicate with a diverse group students, and strive to always
become better. This empathy towards rapport will provide your company with an
employee that has the mindset of creating long- lasting mutual beneficial relationship for
your customers.
 My impenetrable work ethic is very apparent by my responsibility to pay for a college
education, working a fulltime job while still sustaining high academic marks within my
management degree. While being an integral member of a national award-winning
organization SIFE ENACTUS shows dedication, desire, and discipline. This work ethic
will benefit your company with a stupendous candidate who doesn’t take no for an
answer and always finding way to improve the outcome of any situation.
