I am a flexible, caring, very practical and confident person who will attempt any task and enjoys working as
part of a team but also self disciplined to work alone and complete any task to the best of my ability, but if I
need support I am also able to ask for help from colleagues.
I am passionate about working with children and believe all children no matter what there ability is entitled
to and should enjoy their educational experience. I feel a child's overall happiness whilst learning is very
important as this is a significant time within a child's life.
I have experience of working with children with special educational needs and feel each child should be
respected and valued whilst still supporting each individual child's need so they reach their full potential. I
have recently graduated and would throughly enjoy and benefit from working towards become a teacher as
I am passionate about expanding children's knowledge whilst ensuring they enjoy the experience of school.
Having the opportunity to work within a school that also supports Sen would be a fantastic experience for
me to develop myself as a person whilst providing me with a range of new skills and further knowledge of
the mainstream classroom. Having the chance to work within a range of settings along side professionals
with years of experience would be of great interest and personal value to me.
Having previously worked for the learning support team based at Tunmarsh centre as an early years
practitioners which supported sen within private nurseries and then working at St Stephens as a nursery
nurse I feel this would be the next step for me to take and broaden my classroom knowledge, develop the
skills I currently have as well as gain some new ones. I would like to gain experience of older children as I
have only worked with preschool aged children. I have gained my level 2 British sign language and would
like to use this qualification which I feel I would be able to within this setting.
