Good Afternoon Sir or Madam,
I am highly interested in an elementary teaching position in your district. I have had the pleasure of
student teaching in a third grade classroom at Liberty Elementary, in Plainfield Illinois, and have
gained much experience throughout my time there. I believe that my experiences have prepared me
to be the very best educator I can be. I would love to join your team and am confident in my ability to
serve as a great addition to your district.
Throughout my professional experiences, I have worked my hardest toward becoming the best
educator I can be. I have learned many valuable lessons that will transfer to my teaching profession.
My teaching experiences expand across three grade levels: second, third and fourth grade. This
proves that I am able to adapt my teaching style to the age, maturity, and academic abilities of
different students. I have also been exposed to differing cultures, communities, and student
backgrounds. I believe that these experiences have molded me into an open minded and diversified
young professional.
My technological skills are also up to date and have been used effectively to enhance student learning.
I believe the integration of technology is important in a classroom. Throughout my teaching
experiences I have used many applications and websites in daily lessons to excite students about
learning. One application that I used was ClassDojo. This is a great application that helps teachers,
parents, and students safely share class moments. I believe my knowledge of technology will help me
to be successful with technology use in this district.
In addition, my dedication to teaching outside of the classroom is clear and apparent as well. I am
most proud of my commitment to being a coach for the after-school program, Girls On The Run. This
is a program dedicated to encouraging positive emotional, social, mental and physical development
through daily lessons. During my time as a coach I have developed strong relationships with each
team member and learned the power of encouragement. Hearing a girl on the run say to a teammate,
“You can do it, let’s keep going!” is truly inspiring. I believe that this coaching experience has exposed
the importance of building relationships with students outside of the classroom and has built upon my
ability to do so.
Without any doubt, I am fully committed to a career of educating students. I believe that my
education and experiences have exposed me to the newest and most up-to-date educational practices.
If given the opportunity to put these practices to use in a classroom, I know I can bring a new and
exciting approach to education. It would be a great pleasure to have the opportunity to discuss a
teaching position with you in person. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Bridget Rosendahl
