Ryan Henson teaches 8th grade technology systems at PGMS. Students will engage in hands-on engineering activities and learn about technology systems through creating products using the engineering design cycle. Grades are based on the Connections grading policy and are imported to Campus from Its Learning, where most communication takes place. Students should bring a pencil, engineering notebook stored in class, flash drive, and positive attitude for class each day, and additional support is available upon request.

3. 8th Grade
 Technology Systems
 Students engage in hands on activities as part of a
continuation of basic engineering and technology
concepts.
 Students will learn about various technology systems
and how they function together for a common goal
 Students will create a products based on the
Engineering Design Cycle.

4. Grading and Reporting
 Connections has a grading policy in place for classes
taught to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
 The policy can be found on the course information page
for each Connection class course on its learning
 Please take time to familiarize yourself with it and reach
out to me if you have questions
 Grades are imported into Campus as soon as possible
and up to 7 days after an assignment is due.
 Since the class is all on its learning, most grades can be
seen their before they are transported to Campus

5. Methods of
Communication
 Its Learning will be my main method of
communicated with the students outside of class
 I recommend turning on email notifications in its
learning located in settings and then message
settings. - this way you get a email in your personal
or work email any time a teacher send something
out to students.

 On a daily basis, student should have
 Pencil or Pen to write with
 Engineering Notebook (left in class)
 Flash Drive to back up files
 Positive Attitude 
