1. Costume and Make Up
Costume plays specific functions within a film and
the possibilities are huge. However with our
particular genre we want our costume to remain
realistic and stylized but we can still form motifs.
The key aims we want to achieve:
 The costume should instill the proper mood
 Represent their characters personality, social status
and time period.
 Their style should fit in with the setting/location.

2. Emma (sister)
• Because of the time of year, the costume will needed to fitted to the weather.
• Earlier on in the trailer, at the party she will be wearing more formal clothing such
as a leather jacket and jeans.
• We plan on using casual, warm clothing for the sister, such as jeans, big coat,
boots.
• Her personality isn’t particularly girly or fashionable so this type of clothing will suit
her character.
• The dark colours of her clothes will also reflect the saddening and melancholic
mood/narrative.

3. Jack (brother)
• The brother will represent a more vulnerable character.
• Costume at the party, will consist of a light coloured
shirt to connote his innocence and jeans. His shoes are
going to be some sort of trainer to keep it casual.
• The brother will only feature at the start.
• We also think the blood will be an effective contrast on
the shirt he wears after the crash.
