1. Oh No – Marina and the Diamonds

• Illustrates a relationship between lyrics and the visuals as what
is happening in the video will be directly linked to the lyrics of
the song.
• Set in one room but will include different props and lighting
and will be broken up by a performance of the song to prevent
the scene from feeling repetitive.
• Camera shots will mainly consist of close ups, midshots and
wideshots and will stay static for the most part as the
character movements and editing will match the pacing of the
song.
• The location will be brightly lit with bright colours to match the
tone of the song and juxtaposes the lyrics of the song.

3. Too Much Time Together – San Cisco

• Illustrates a relationship between the lyrics and the visuals as the
song is about a first relationship that is slightly obsessive.
• Character movements will be overexaggerated in order to play up
the humour which the upbeat tone of the song matches.
• Camera movements consist mainly of panning and zooming in on
characters in a mockumentary sitcom fashion like the Office and
camera shots will consist mainly of wideshots, midshots, close ups
and point of view shots.
• Set in high school, focusing on a couple who are obsessed with each
other to the point that everyone around them get frustrated. The
narrative will be split up by a performance of the song.

5. Heavy - Oh Wonder

• Set in a living room, the narrative will be following someone that is
watching home videos of them and their significant other.
• This amplifies a relationship between the lyrics and the visuals and
the song is about a happy relationship and the video will consist of
home movies which document happy moments in the relationship,
matching the upbeat tone of the song with nostalgic visuals of a
home movie.
• Camera movements will mostly involved hand-held movements for
the home movies style but will also include tracking and panning and
camera shots will include close ups, midshots, wideshots, two shots
and point of view shots which will be edited to fit the pacing of the
song.

present in the song and visuals as the narrative will follow a
person interacting with people and environments that are
associated with youth such as friends and school.

to follow character movements and will be slow to
contradict the pacing of the song.
• Camera shots will consist mainly of close ups, midshot and
wideshots.
• Lighting will be bright to emphasise the hopeful tone of the
song.

of two boys writing a fake email change between one boy and
another who committed suicide after pretending they were
friends.
• This will illustrate a relationship between
the lyrics and the music video as the
narrative of the video is directly
connected to the narrative of the song.
• Camera movements and shots will consist of tracking,
wideshots, midshots and two-shots.
