The costume designer drew inspiration from the films Children of Men and Blade Runner for the main character Jack's costume. Jack will wear a dark, tattered long coat. The designer contacted someone who owned a similar coat to the one in Children of Men. For the bank manager character Henry, the designer chose a black or grey suit to reflect his profession. The femme fatale character Barbara will wear dark clothing to represent her treacherous nature.

• For Jacks clothes I was
inspired by the
character of Leo played
by Clive Owen in
Children of Men. He
wears a dark black long
coat that has been
tattered by his journey.

detective film called
Blade Runner which is
also a noir film. This
means that it would be
perfect to base the main
characters clothes off a
feature film that has the
same genre and
conventions as our film. I
even analysed the
opening as part of our
research and planning.

• I decided to ask around if anyone had the
clothes that I wanted, describing the clothes
worn by Leo (Children of Men) and Decker
(Blade Runner). After searching, I contacted
Olly Bland who had a jacket similar to the one
used by Leo in children of men. He gave us
permission to use it in our opening sequence.

5. Henry
• For Henrys clothes I
decided to go for
something more formal.
This is because he is a
bank manager and I
want his clothes to
reflect his profession. I
wanted to go for a
black/grey suit which
many bank managers
use in real life.

6. Barbara
• Barbara is the femme fetale in our opening
sequence. She will be the one who betrays
jack when he robs a bank for her. It is for this
reason I have decided to that the femme
fetale would wear dark clothing to reflect her
treacherous personality. She will likely wear a
dark dress which will be given to the actress
by Vanessa Lorriman or provided by the
actress herself.
