COSMETIC PRODUCTS AND SELF-
CONFIDENCE AMONG GRADE 12
MALE STUDENTS OF RMC PALAYAN
Self-confidence is a crucial part of a student’s social
life that needs to be enhance, so they can have
courage to present themselves in public in the most
comfortable way.
Men, like women, care about their appearance. We
have become a ‘somatic society’ in the words of
Turner (1996).
INTRODUCTION
OBJECTIVE
The main objective of this study is to
know if there is a correlational
relationship between the usage of
cosmetic products and self-confidence
of its male users.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The purpose of this study was to determine the
significant relationship between Cosmetic Products
and Self-confidence among Grade 12 Male Students
in Senior High School ,Rizal Memorial Colleges. To
answer this problem, the following questions were
established:
1.How often do grade 12 Male Students use the following cosmetic
products?
2. How often do grade 12 Male Students use cosmetics products in
different situations?
3. What are the reasons why grade 12 Male Students used cosmetic
products?
4. What is the level of self-confidence of grade 12 Male Students
when they use cosmetic products?
5. Is there a significant relationship between the frequency of
cosmetic products usage and the level of self-confidence when using
cosmetic products?

Figure 1 describes the conceptual framework of the
study where the input consists of frequency of using
cosmetic products and the reasons for doing it.
While the process being used is through a checklist
questionnaire to know the percentage mean and to come up
with an out-official cosmetic products and self-confidence
relationship.

RESEARCH DESIGN
The research method employed on this study was
descriptive-correlational design. Correlational
research design was used to measure the relationship
between cosmetic product usage and the level of self-
confidence among grade 12 Senior High School male
students.
This study found out that there is a significant
relationship between cosmetic product usage and self-
confidence, it can be concluded that wearing or using
cosmetic products can boost self-confidence among
users of it. Lastly, this study can help minority students
to gain self-confidence by using cosmetic products
appropriate on their age and situations. text
