• Water . –programmes making safe drinking water available, conservation and purification of
water
• Education - programmes & nurturing talent at various levels.
• Health - health centers, mobile medical vans, dialysis centres, general and specialized health
camps and outreach programmes, centres for elderly / disabled, support to HIV / AIDS
programme.
• Skill Development - skill building, computer training, women empowerment, support to
ITI’s, support to specially abled (infrastructure support & vocational training), CSTI’s,
providing employability skills at project sites, creating training centres.
• Sanitation & Rural Development
• Governance & Technology would be the Key drivers across all these verticals.

• 5,000 toilets under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ programme
• ‘Power to the People’ CSR initiatives at the 2x700 MW power plant in Rajpura, Punjab.
• Up-gradation and repair of Village Infrastructure
• Up-gradation of Infrastructure of educational institutions/schools
In Rural Development
Women Empowerment
• Fixed deposit in the name of the girl child for ten years (211 families)
• Financial assistance of Rs. 21,000/- to needy families at the time of marriage of their girl child
(above the age of 18 years) under the Shagan Scheme( 246 families
• Skill training to over 300 women at 7 skill training centres

• It's an all-India ‘sharing’ festival is celebrated every year with little acts of kindness
and innovative ways of giving.
• Some donate money, others donate clothes, toys, utensils and Diwali gifts.
• L&T-ites are also generous with their time and spread warmth as they visit
residents at various institutions.

11. PRAYAS
TRUST
• The Prayas Trust originated as L&T Ladies’ Club more than two decades ago.
• It’s an philanthropic organization formed and run by wives of employees and women employees
provides community service to the underprivileged sections of society located around various L&T
facilities, countrywide.
• Prayas Medical Centre which also has a dialysis unit that treats over 45 patients averaging over 5400
sittings per year.

HEALTH
CENTRES
• Various services are run by L&T through its Community Health Centres, CSR
Departments and in partnership with Government initiatives.
• L&T’s health services include building health infrastructure, health education, and
running medical camps.

13. SKILL-
BUILDING
• L&T has established and operates eight Construction Skills Training Institutes (CSTIs)across the
country.
• Through Project Neev L&T reaches out to specially-abled persons to make them self-reliant by
training them in job skills.
• Vocational training is also provided to women from low-income groups in the areas of tailoring,
beautician skills, home nursing and food processing.
