This document provides a history of Emirates airline from its founding in 1985 to present day. It describes how Emirates was established with $10 million to build an airline from scratch in Dubai. Through the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum and Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Emirates grew rapidly, investing in new planes, infrastructure like Terminal 3, and expanding its route network around the world.
