Copyright protects original creative works and gives the creator exclusive rights over the reproduction and distribution of their work. Works created after 1978 are protected for the creator's lifetime plus 50 years. Copyright law originated in the UK and protects literary works, music, films, broadcasts and more. It covers rights like reproduction, adaptation, public performance, and identification of the creator. International conventions provide copyright protection across most countries.

1. COPYRIGHT ISSUES
I have decided to look into the issues of Copyright, the dictionary definition
of Copyright is: the exclusive right to make copies, license and otherwise
exploit a literary, musical, or artistic work whether printed, audio or video
etc. Works granted such right by law on or after January 1st 1978 are
protected for the lifetime of the author or creator and for a period of 50
years after his or her death.
This means that when you own the Copyright to a piece of work, you literally
have the right to produce and manufacture copies of that work. You also
have the right to license the work to others who would like to use it as
without your permission it would be Copyright infringement. Its basically a
means of intellectual property law that protects an original piece of work
from being pirated or used without permission.

2. Copyright law originated in the United Kingdom from a concept of common
law, the Statue of Anne 1709. It became statutory with the passing of
Copyright Act 1911. The current act is the Copyright, Design and Patents Act
1988.
Right Covered:
The Law gives the creators literary, dramatic, musical, artistic works, sound
recordings, broadcasts, films and typographical arrangement of published
editions, rights to control the ways in which their material may be used.
The rights cover, broadcast and public
performance, copying, adapting, issuing, renting and lending copies to the
public.
In many cases, the creator will also have the right to be identified as the
author and to object to distortions of their work.
International conventions give protection in most countries, subject to
national laws.

3. Music is eligible for Copyright protection under the Copyright, Designs and
Patents Act 1988 as a musical work provided:
It is written in music notation or recorded on tape or fixed in some other
form.
It is original in the sense that it has not been copied from any other
musical works.
