A fast-growing construction company is seeking a controller to manage accounting and finance as it continues to expand. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance, 5-7 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in budgeting and financial analysis. 1. Fast growing construction company seeking a dynamic Controller to lead the continued growth of the
Company. Position will be responsible for overseeing and managing all accounting and finance. The right
candidate will be knowledgeable in budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, GAAP, have strong
interpersonal and managerial skills. This position will report directly to the CFO and will interact directly with
accounting, sales and marketing, and production departments.
Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility for the Company’s Accounting operations including obtaining an understanding,
performance and review of all functions (AP, AR, payroll)
• Provide hands–on management of accounting department, including all tasks and cash management.
• Produce and maintain annual and 5-year forecasts of company Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash
Flow Statements.
• Produce and maintain company’s Capital Budget.
• Provide financial analysis including Return on Investment analysis for various Company strategies.
• Collaborate with the CFO, Owner and various department heads to provide business advice.
Minimum Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 to 7 years as a Controller or equivalent position in a
subcontracting and/or general contracting construction company with revenues of not less than 20
million.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contracting, negotiating, finance, and accounting, budgeting, forecasting,
and cost controls.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze financial data, and prepare financial reports, statements and
projections.
• Position requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the
ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes while managing multiple
projects.
