This document provides guidance and questions for a controlled assessment task to prepare students for upcoming summer exams. It outlines areas students should focus on, including preparation for exam questions on how their media product uses or challenges conventions. It provides marks for planning, construction, research carried out so far, including analysis of similar media, audience research, and marketing/institutional research. Students are asked two questions focusing on how their research has influenced planning decisions and how useful new media technologies have been for research and planning.
