Professor Per Peterson from the Department of Nuclear Engineering says, It s difficult for me to
see how we can transition away from fossil fuels and not use significant amounts of nuclear
energy (Phillips, 2012). Many argue that renewable sources of energy such as solar and wind

and 1980s. The country switched from using fossil fuels and instead used nuclear energy to
supply 78% of its electricity (see figure 3). This in turn lowered the country s greenhouse

problems in education today. Conte (1994, p.308) mentioned, If teachers, administrators, parents,
and students acknowledge that the lack of discipline is a serious concern and interferes with the
teaching learning process, one would think that steps would be taken to remedy the problem. Today
s classrooms are more complicated than in the past. Discipline is now known as classroom
behaviour management where new dimensions to classroom managementare used with the
inclusion, bilingual classes, and students with disabilities.
Classroom management is necessary to maintain the positive behaviours and attitudes. A well
managed classroom can provide an amazing learning experience for all the involved students as
their behaviour can always affect this process. Classroom discipline plays a large part in today s
educational system. Many teachers feel powerless when dealing with discipline problems in their
classrooms. Canter (1997) discussed, in the past, only a look from a teacher to the students was
enough to manage and control the classroom. Then, because of the social and political eruptions of
the late 60s and early 70s, the respect to any authority was dramatically declined. Therefore, it is
important to find a behaviour management approach that is suitable to the students of this
generation.

My Music Concert
Today, I went to the symphony for the first time. Not much of a thrilling opener, huh? What if I
elaborated to say the closest I have ever gotten to a symphony was a grade four band concert, in
which my little brother played the saxophone (he quit the following year.) Maybe I could
compare this experience to all the DIY rock shows I attended back home in basements/back
rooms where the sounds could be loud enough to deafen people standing outside and the heat
could bring almost anyone to immediate sickness, but that seems a little crude. The bottom line
is, I have never been fortunate enough to encounter the amount or complexity of instruments as
I did at Willson Auditorium. Before continuing, I would like to express sincere gratitude toward
requiring, and thus allowing, me to attend this fantastic concert. I believe that I not only enjoyed
