JOB TITLE: Product Manager – Content
CONTRACT: 3 months
LOCATION: London
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this person will work closely with the
Content Business Owner, senior stakeholders and with the software development
team to manage product development. This is a new key strategic initiative for
our client that will deliver innovative online content services to customers
worldwide. This person will have responsibility for communication and
coordination with stakeholders in various parts of the world and various parts of
the organisation to ensure successful product launch and customer adoption. As
part of that this person will work with the Content Business Owner and Product
Owner to set development priorities, and collaborate with the Content
Coordinator, Marketing, and Business Development teams to coordinate their
inputs and prioritise plans to ensure business readiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product development
* Manage product development from design and development to production in
collaboration with Business Owner and Product Owner.
* Manage scope of sprints and backlog through close collaboration with
stakeholders to gather and prioritize future requirements.
* Work with stakeholders to plan product roadmap and releases.
Project management
* Define resources and schedule for implementation.
* Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
* Efficiently identify and solve project issues.
* Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services as needed.

* Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
Business readiness
* Act as the Content evangelist internally and externally with potential customers.
* Build relationship with key central and regional business stakeholders.
* Develop business readiness plans, tasks, and priorities including but not limited
to sales, marketing, finance, editorial, and support functions.
* Organise focus groups and market research efforts to collect data to improve
product roadmap.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* BA/BS a must; Masters in Educational Technology or Instructional Design a plus.
* Proven experience in building successful products with happy customers.
* Proven experience in agile software product and project management.
* In-depth familiarity with software design, development, and release is required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Ability to
handle multiple priorities while keeping a close watch on critical details
* Able to take initiative, build consensus, develop good working relationships
across various segments of the business, and set priorities.
* Experience in educational publishing a plus.
