Continuity is the continuation of a scene with numerous shots integrating within each other
without breaks in the scene, this so that the verisimilitude is not interrupted and it keeps the focus of
the audience. This could have been shot in different time periods and then edited together. It also
involves a variation of small scenes that keeps the movie flowing without spending too much time on
one particular scene. For example a person gets on a bus, sits down then gets off the bus.
Some movies made mistakes in the continuity of some scenes.
Star Wars contained some mistakes
made in the continuity, as you can
see that in the first image there is a
coat in the background which then
disappears when the camera switches
from a wide shot to close/mid shot.
This goes against the continuity

In this movie the character steals a
chicken bucket and runs away but she
forgets her notebook behind.
However in the next scene when she
arrives in school after finishing the
bucket her notebook appears from
nowhere

2. In Gladiators you can see the
pressurize air tank that helped to flip
the cargo
In this movie the guy is wearing a
bandanna during the beginning of the
battle, then no bandanna in the
middle and at the end the bandanna
is back.

3. Star Wars made a mistake again, this
scene has been filmed during
different times in the day. As you can
see in the beginning there is a shade,
but after the conversation is finished
you can see that there’s suddenly
sunshine.
Jurassic Park made a big mistake in
this scene, the door hinges are on the
right at the beginning but when the
guy steps in the caravan they’ve
moved to the other side. Then
continuing to the next part of the
scene you can see that the guy has
white towel in his hand but when the
camera position changes he has a
pink towel.

4. Next, also in Jurassic Park you can see
in the bottom left of the picture that
there are 2 cars reversed in the other
so that they can drive away. But then
after the helicopter has landed the
cars are beginning to reverse and
back into the position shown in the
first picture.
