1. Process of my content page
Even though, NME magazine is polar opposite of the genre of music which I am doing however, I
reallylikedthe waythe layoutwassetandthe colour which they used. Therefore, I was inspired by
NME magazine to create my content page for my K-POP magazine.
For my contentpage,Iwantedto use onlyone model for the main image and
the model whichIusedwas Rushali.This image of Rushali that I took was out
of school andwe were just playing around with poses but afterwards when I
was looking at my work, I saw this image and I really liked it. Therefore I
decided to use this image.
I opened this image on Photoshop then what I had to do to
remove the background of this image was that I had to use the
‘Erase Tool’ to rub out all the unnecessary background that I
didn’t need. Also, I used ‘Soft Tool’ to soften up the hard edges
which was around the hair. As the background colour was not
green so it was quite easier to remove all of the background however, it was a little
difficulttoremove the backgroundaroundthe flowerwhichRushaliwasholding.Other
than that, I did not find any trouble removing the background of this image.
I had usedtwootherimagesas well inmycontentpage andthey were taken out of school too. I did
the same process as I did before to remove the background of these two images. In both of these

2. images, the difficult part was to remove as much
background as I could around my model’s hair as both
of their hairs were let out and they were sticking out. To
erase their hairs whichwere stickingout,I had to really
zoomin the images and use the eraser tool to
erase them out.
The font which I used in my content page texts in white were
downloaded from ‘DAFONT’ website. The colour code which I
decided to use for my content page was black, white, grey and
blue because Ithoughtthese coloursmatchedwell together. The
reason why I put those rectangle blocks was so that the texts
could stand out on black and that it would be easier for the
audience to read.
The texts which are on blue tells the audience what are inside the magazine
and the reason I decided to make those text blue and bold with caps lock so
that it easier for the audience to read. Also, I didn’t add any background on
my content page because I thought it didn’t suit with my main image and I
wanted to make that image stand out since the clothes my model is wearing
are dark.
I put these two images on the bottom with the
page number next to it so that the audience can
have an ideabeforehandonwhattype of style is
going to be on that particular page. As most
people getmore interestedwhenthere’s avisual
example.
Since mostk-pop fans are teenagers’ girls and boys, in order to attract
themI have includedinformationsuchas‘StreetFashion’advices,‘Life of ak-popidol’tomake them
curious on how the celebrities are able to dress so well and what their daily routine is like. Due to
using colour scheme which are neither too focus on female or male, this shows that my content
page challengesthe conventionof a real magazine as most of the time specific genre of music uses
femininecolourstogetmore femalestobuytheirmagazine whereas,I have involved colours which
are likedbybothgenderandthisway both side will be able to buy the magazine where everything
will be included equally.
