Responding to a crucial requirement of the present
times, DSU is oļ¬ering an exclusive programme, a one-
of-its kind, leading to BTech in Computer Technology
giving an option to students with innovative ideas to
pickaveryunusualcombination:
Coming in as a student to participate in an academic
program while also being trained to become an
entrepreneur.
At the end of the 4 year program, a student can go out
with a B.Tech in Computer Technology and also own a
company. A similar program is designed for working
professionals and fresh under graduates to start an
enterprise at the DSU Start-up village and also join an
M.Techprogram.
This enterprise-academic plan would be backed by
working professionals, experienced entrepreneurs and
veterans drawn from industry who spend time asVisiting
Professors and also acting as Mentors to entrepreneurs
inthemaking.

Admission to the BTech in Computer Technology
programmes would go through a special interview
process in addition to DSAT Scores. Applicants have to
submit their original ideas which they feel are good for
transition into nished product. This national level
selection willbe routed through an eminent panelof
industry experts, scientists, investors, researchers
and academicians; and potential mentors/ adjunct
professors.
CurriculumAuniquelearningprocess
The curriculum would be seminar led with students
expected to engage in research; coming out with
answers, making presentations to peers and to
Adjunct Professors - receiving comments, suggestions
to improvise, ne tune, change and re-strategise,
whereverneeded. It ismore ofdoing and learning and
at each attempt the outcome has to show better
eļ¬ciency and improved outcome. With time and
continuous ne tuning the product should be
developedforacceptanceinaglobalmarket.
The teaching-learning would have more industry inputs.
Evaluation processes would be to assess and ensure
the continued ability of a student to apply knowledge
to a real product that should go to market. The

Adjunct Faculty / Professors on a regular basis; who
bring with them a mountain of industry experience,
information and new knowledge that is real time and

Eligibility Criteria
Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examina on with Physics &
Mathema cs as compulsory subjects and a minimum
of 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to
SC/ST & OBC category) aggregate in Physics,
Mathema cs and any one of the following subjects:
Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer
Science / Electronics with English as a compulsory
subject.
Duration: 4 years
Howitworks
Every idea would have a team of 3-5 students; team
members are chosen by the original owner of the
idea or by the Chief Mentor. The criteria for students to
be in a team would be originality, technical skills,
entrepreneur ability, interpersonal skills, leadership,
ability to learn more than one domain- for instance
in addition to core Engineering, also master concepts
in Design, Marketing, Finance, Logistics and other
related elds that could be requirements for any
independent individual project. DSU, thankfully, is
privileged to access varied expertise to broadly
providefortheindividualprojectledneeds.
A key parameter for selection would be the ability of a
student to bring in her / his margin of the total
project costs- either on oneās own or pooled from
among the team members. All Mentors and Adjunct
Professors would be entitled to a stake in the ventures
started by the studentsin exchange for time and value
adds that theybringtoeachventure.
