- 10. TYPES OF DEVICE DRIVER: For almost every device associated with the computer system there exists Device Driver for the particular hardware. 1. Kernel-mode Device Driver – This Kernel-mode device driver includes some generic hardware which loads with operating System as part the OS these are BIOS, motherboard, processor and some other hardware which are part of kernel software.
- 11. 2. User-mode Device Driver – Other than the devices which are brought by kernel for working of the system the user also bring some devices for use during the using of a system that devices needs device drivers to functions those drivers falls under User mode device driver.

- A DEVICE DRIVER is a software program that facilitates communication between hardware devices and the operating system of a computer. Because it acts as a translator and allow the operating system to interact with hardware components such as printers, graphics cards, or storage devices. Naga serve sya as translator or interpreter sang hardware or device in order to communicate ang OS kag ang hardware. Just like sang Ms Universe DEVICE DRIVERS are designed to be specific to the hardware they control, as different devices may require unique sets of commands and operations. By serving as an intermediary between hardware and software, device drivers enable the operating system to send commands to the hardware device and receive data or responses back. This seamless communication process is crucial for the overall functionality and performance of the computer system. They are often provided by the hardware manufacturer and need to be installed on the computer system to enable the hardware device to work correctly. Overall, device drivers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and compatibility of hardware devices with the computer's operating system.
