This project summarizes different ethnic religions and how they differ from each other. It defines ethnography as descriptions of human social phenomena based on fieldwork. It provides examples of ethnic religions like Hinduism, Judaism, Shintoism, Daoism, and Confucianism. It describes some of the key beliefs and practices of these religions like Hinduism's belief in many forms of God, Shintoism being the former official religion of Japan, and Judaism's belief that God selects people to live according to moral principles. It notes there were often conflicts between ethnic religions over land and wealth, but these have reduced in recent years.
