Eco-maps illustrate the relationships of individuals with their environment.
They are used by professionals from social work and nursing industries as a
counseling tool, and may be drawn by a social worker or the clients themselves.
Social and environmental systems are identified, and can help formulate the right
questions to ask. Through different lines and arrows, connections are assessed
as a positive or negative influence, or as a strong or weak player.
Once the diagram is plotted, it becomes easier to trace sources
of different emotions or conditions.
