This document discusses different methods for analyzing media content, including semiology, levels of meaning, relational analysis, mythology, narrative analysis, genre analysis, discourse analysis, and content analysis. Semiology is defined as the study of signs and symbols. Relational analysis examines the relationships between different elements in a media text. Mythology looks at widely held false beliefs or ideas through a cultural lens. Narrative, genre, and discourse analysis analyze stories, conventions, and the reinforcement of beliefs in communication respectively.
