We are seeking a paid intern to support our community outreach and advocacy efforts in
managing activities occurring in the Los Angeles area. We are looking for the following
skills and abilities in candidates:
Creativity and initiative in addressing identified challenges in various
communities
Understanding of the multicultural communities of Los Angeles
Knowledge of city/urban planning
Principles and practices of community organizing
Organization and communication
Independent and team worker
Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Office, Social Media Platforms
and Public Relations
Commitment to 20-30 hours/week
This position will be assisting staff:
Creating/managing relationships with various individuals and groups
Assisting the maintenance of online tools and resources related to activities in the
community
Providing support for events, campaigns and initiatives
Creating/maintaining community profiles
You should be a undergraduate student pursuing a degree in marketing, urban planning,
public relations, journalism or related fields.
