Introduction – Elaine Who is on the task force Why a task force? Why improving communication is important?
SCSL Handbook - Curtis Communication:  We believe communication is essential to performing our mission and pursuing our vision.  Communication is vital to building organizational trust and is the hallmark of respect.
Progress Report - Ruth Appointed staff members met with David The group recruited Curtis We have met 5 times We have conducted a SWOT analysis Co-workers have been informally surveyed We have a draft of a recommendations report
Strengths – Rob TOP THREE: Departmental Meetings Monthly Staff Meetings/Using PACER Technology resources that are available to us
Weaknesses – Kathy  TOP THREE: There is no one official method of communication/ grapevine Technology resources are being underutilized There are not enough section/department meetings/need more often
Opportunities – Elaine  TOP FOUR: Email could be used more effectively There could be more personal contact/face-to-face time with administration/ supervisors Training at staff meetings/more internal training  Create an internal communication policy/guidelines
Threats – Flora  TOP THREE:  Fear of rejection/ confrontation Fear of Change Lack of knowledge/ training among supervisors/ managers

  • 3. SCSL Handbook - Curtis Communication: We believe communication is essential to performing our mission and pursuing our vision. Communication is vital to building organizational trust and is the hallmark of respect.

  • 6. Weaknesses – Kathy TOP THREE: There is no one official method of communication/ grapevine Technology resources are being underutilized There are not enough section/department meetings/need more often
  • 7. Opportunities – Elaine TOP FOUR: Email could be used more effectively There could be more personal contact/face-to-face time with administration/ supervisors Training at staff meetings/more internal training Create an internal communication policy/guidelines
