2. Commenting Must-Dos Read the post – twice! Make sure you understand what the post is about and think about what your response will be before you do any typing! Read the other comments You may want to comment on them as well as the post. But, do not say something like: I agree with everything he said. That is not a comment. Remember the Grandmother Rule Don’t write anything that your grandmother wouldn’t be proud of you for. Be caring and principled when commenting on posts from other people. It’s okay to disagree, but do so as if you were talking to your grandmother (or your teacher). Remember Digital Privacy We only use our usernames online and refer to others with their usernames as well. No personal details of any kind at all. Remember to PEE In order for your comment to be worthwhile , you have to make a point and then support it with evidence, examples and/or an explanation Draft your comment elsewhere It’s always a good idea to draft your comment in Google Docs or Word and then paste it in. That way, if you don’t finish, you can save it and continue later.

3. My (Very Strong)Suggestions Use proper English. A comment is not a text message. Write at least 3-5 sentences. You can write more. Check back after you’ve commented to carry on with the conversation. Remember to be logged in when you comment. Think before you write. Then think again before you hit ‘submit’!
