1. Comic Strip
You have been asked to explain cell function, differentiation, and organization of organisms to
elementary school children by creating a poster-size comic strip with easy to understand
illustrations and descriptions of the material. In order for kids to better understand the
information, you may want to consider creating characters out of the content. Any other
techniques for making the material easy to digest will be key to their successful understanding of
the content.
If your comic strip poster is done well, it will be displayed in multiple classrooms and will be
used by teachers as a teaching tool for this content. Follow the instructions below to create a
successful poster.
1. Use the rubric to make sure you cover the necessary content.
2. Simplify information without distorting it (make sure it's still accurate).
3. Make sure comic strip sketches are well-organized and are drawn/ colored with care.
4. Make sure accompanying text is clear and easy to read.
5. Engage your learner by making the comic strip entertaining and fun.
