Colt's Optical SDN Innovation aims to transform network services through an elastic, programmable, and software-defined optical transport network. The project targets improved customer experience with on-demand connectivity across data centers, enterprise buildings, and cloud services, while offering scalability and real-time provisioning. The journey towards full optical SDN is ongoing, with initial solutions expected to be implemented in 2018.
