Male Female
This question was asked to everyone who completed the questionnaire
to find out whether they are male or female. This could determine the
results of future questions because stereotypically, males are more
interested in gaming and sports whereas females are more interested in
fashion. However, the results show that there was a relatively even split
with 34 males and 24 females.

Age of people asked (years)
The age range of the people we asked was between 16 and 19 years old.
The results of this question show that the most frequent age of students
asked were aged 16 and the least common age was 18.This could effect
the results of the other questions because 19 year olds may have
different interests than 19 year old college students.

We also asked the audience how much they would be willing to pay for a college magazine; the
answers range from nothing to £4+.These results shows that the most common response was
that people would be most willing to pay between £1 and £2 for this type of magazine. The least
popular response was anything above £4.This shows that a college magazine should be sold for
no more than £2 in order to appeal to the target audience.

Black and White Soft/Pastel Bright and Colourful
This question asked the audience what combination/style of colours they would like to see on a
college magazine. The multiple choice answers were black and white, soft/pastel or bright and
colourful. As a result, the answers given showed that bright and colourful was the most popular,
however each option was fairly even. This shows that college students have quite an even mixture of
colour preferences, meaning that any of these combinations could be considered when designing.

Bright and Flashy Classy and Subtle Neutral
In addition to the previous question, we also asked the target audience what their design
preferences for a college magazine are.The options were bright and flashy, classy and subtle and
neutral. Classy and subtle was just about the most popular whereas neutral was the least, but
overall these results were all very close; even more so than the colours question. This shows that
the target audience do not have a dominant preference in terms of design.

Never Not Very Often Often Always
The final question that we asked the target audience was how often
they read general magazines in their own time. This was a multiple
choice question with the answers being never, not very often, often
and always. The two most popular results were extremely close,
being never and not very often. The result with the fewest choices
was always. This shows that college students do not tend to read
magazines very often, if at all.
