1. Analysis of the questionnaire results obtained from my class.
Age
These results show that a younger design
must be made; even though this difference
would not make a big difference for a
normal magazine; for a college magazine
this makes a large difference. The fact that
there are more younger students shows
that content should be focused on getting
used to college and ‘tips and tricks’.
Gender
There is a fair balance between male
and female students; though female
is predominant. Other, however; was
not bought up at all during the
results collection, meaning that
things related to transgender content
is not entirely applicable.

2. Analysis of the questionnaire results obtained from my class.
Reading Frequency
These results show that a fair amount of
people do not read magazines at all;
meaning that there needs to be an
inclusion of content that would draw in
new readers for the first few magazines, or
perhaps all of them (all of them would be
difficult as it would get repetitive)
Publishing frequency
This answer shows how often and how
long we have to create the magazine issue.
With a mix of Monthly and Termly,
Monthly seems to be more predominant.
This would be acceptable as it gives plenty
of time to obtain and produce content for
the magazine.

Hobbies and Interests
This graph indicates that the most popular
three interests/hobbies are Sport, Music
and Fashion. Due to the course being
about music magazines, this is a good
amount of results.

Preferred Content
This may be similar to hobbies and
interests, but the content of these results
indicate that music is the most
populer/demanded type of magazine,
which is useful considering what we’re
making.
4. Analysis of the questionnaire results obtained from my class.
Colours
The results here indicate that darker
colours, a mix of blue, black and white,
are a popular choice. The audience will
relate to this theme in terms of EDM, as it
it is a fairly common colour theme.
Theme
It seems a modern approach to the design
of the magazine would be most
appropriate; meaning that people would
like to see a streamlined style of magazine;
which I personally prefer. This popularity
also indicates people want more modern
music.

5. Analysis of the questionnaire results obtained from my class.
Price
There is a clear indication that the cheaper
the better; so a balance must be made in
price and quality to keep the reader
feeling it was worth their money. To afford
this, however; would be to reduce time
spent on production.

Freebies Inclusion
It is obvious that people would prefer
freebies; however, the production of said
freebies would increase the cost of
production overall; and may negate the
profits from a low cost. To counter this,
the freebie must be easy to produce (a deal
at the cafeteria, for example).
